skiing itself as a sport is dangerous enough. the pros are throwing down so hard, doing such crazy shit. any moment, any trick, that they do while skiing, not wearing a helmet, they could possibly die from a head injury, or be badly injured. i just don't get it. if skiing's already dangerous enough, and we make it more dangerous, don't you think you'd want to do everything in your power to protect your brain, the most important part of your body? it may be a personal decision, but it's completely stupid not to wear one. and if you get a good helmet, you can keep it for a few years. it's not THAT expensive, and still much much cheaper than the medical bills you'd be paying if/when you get hurt. the good one's are light and comfortable, and you barely realize it's sitting atop your head.
my point is is that there's no good reason or excuse not to wear one.
