Killington's new park

Ok, I know the rep that Killington has got new school wise....but...

Listen up. You may have heard that Killington is moving it's sig park to Bear Mtn from its former location at Snowshed. This is true.

Look for Killington to step it up big time this year. We'll be expanding out Freeride Teams, unvieling a superpipe with a handle tow, building a boarder/skier cross course, and offering way more hits, rails and general stoke (I know that word sux) than ever before. All of it from Bear Mountain instead of the old location next to the Bunny hill.

If this sounds like BS from a marketing guy, you're part right. I'm a marketing guy, and thats part of the reason this is finally taking shape. We've got people making decisions who know whats up. Up until 3 years ago I was taking third :( behind rory will and hibbert in halfpipe comps all over the East. But hell someone's gotta go the executive route right?

We're letting loose a new killington.com before the season starts along with it a chance for a bunch of skiers and riders to join the teams and get more exposure. The guy in charge of marketing the teams...a skier who takes off switch.

Talk to ya'll soon.

That my friend.. is some great news

Peter: When you go on a cruise you need to build up a base tan.

Chris: But I heard that in tanning booths you can get something called Melenoma

Peter: Don't worry son that's just fancy talk for sexified.

the grown up route's not that bad in my opinion. I'm having fun with it.

Do us all a favor... Let us know when we can come skiing up there in K-town. Us flat landers are getting ancy

I'm very interested in joining a team...I live 30min from Killington and that's the only place i ski. I can't wait for this season. With the timberline park tripled in length, the bear mountain parks, and super pipe, this season should be awesome.

any news on that kiddy park? i wanna teach my little sister how to throw down this year, did they expand that too?

i wish you were here

i'll be there this friday. 4frnt msp's 170 from last season. giro mx9 helmet. burton pants. check me out.. and i suck, that too.

but, yeah.. thats me. oh and i'll be with the mount snow kids.. because i am one.

one love.

I live in killington and like 10min away from the mtn. I think that the park pretty much sucked last year. Also for whoever asked about when the new park opens, my answer is 'when we actually get snow'. Also, the bear mtn park better have rope toes or im gunna be pissed having to wait in the lift line for like 30min. Bear mtn always has a huge crowd and now with the park people it's gunna be insane...

i know its still early season but i thought ur jib park was decent, the flat down especially, however i dont know if im alone on this but i hated ur boxes

I was there the 22nd and they had like a couple of rails up, that was it...starting to blow some snow on the timberline park area. I was upset. I hear sugarbush is going to have a sick fuckin park this year...

We'll have you dead pretty soon.

as of the 26th they have

1 small hip/jump

3 rails (flat, down, flat-down)

2 boxes (one flat, one up-flat w/ a 1' drop off)

all features are about 20' in length

i forget what trail it was on. somthing near the peak. that was the only park i saw.

they are blowing a TON of snow on bear mountain. when they clean it up with the groomers they should have some larger sized hits.

I ski to live

Keep blowin your new park that still isn't open / I switched from Okemo this year to Killington and Okemo's park is open and this guy is still talking about their big plans / BUILD SOMETHING AND STOP TALKING ABOUT IT

chill money it will be up soon i hope

GREENFIELD NORTHSIDE WORLD WIDE CAUSE I REP TILL I FUCKIN DIE

It is open. Other night i helped set up a 24ft box, A frame, Flat bar, round rail, and the S rail over at upper bear trap. Hope they have some jumps soon, maybe by this weekend.

i skiied sugarbush on the 26th, i didnt see anything at the lincoln peak area, but the mt ellen area had some really nice jumps up. Four different jumps were up, a channel gap, two 3 hit jumps, ranging from about 15-50 feet, and then they had a really big jump at the end with two take offs with the bigger take off at about 65 or 70 feet, really hard to clear.
