KILLington

Happy Veterans day! We switched up the Reason park last night. As of Thursday, 11/11/10, the park now has 5 features:

- Pole Jib

-16ft down rail

-16ft double barrel rail

-16ft ollie-on flat box

-down-flat-down rail

ENJOY!!

i'd say yes. the hip thingy is fun, the down bar is cash, the flat box is good for learning, the dfd is perfect, and the double barrel down is good. who saw me today? i was wearing purple trew pants and a grey and black trew jacket, with reno jibs.

ahahhaa

i was the other kid in the black liquid swords, brown salomon pants and scott goggs with fire lens

failing at skiing as well

GREAT DAY though

you and J-EVS same exact thing.

Did anyone see me. Black hoodie with yellows sleeves and ribbing, black snow pants, black t halls, blue and black crowbars.

ahhh. i wish

probably will be in springfrield for the co2 railjam saturday

and most likely wont make the trip sunday

we live about 2.5 hours away...

today was such a fun day! this weekend will be very worth it if you dont mind hiking the park because i feel like the lift lines will be out of control this weekend but get the 2 for 1 coupon and its only 25 bucks.

Heading up tonight for sure. I'll be at the northstar lodge til sunday. crazy good deal right now. buy 1 night and get a second 50% off.

Yesterday was sick, probly the last time at Killy until early season next year (possibly dew tour). The dfd is the best thing in the world. Urban box is fun but it's the dumbest way to set up a box.

The cat walk is a killer, the lift lines sucked, couldn't even buy a $5 redbull if I wanted to, but it was a damn good weekend.

Got to our hotel at like 2:30am on saturday. We were on the gondola by 8:30am with the ritual ice cold beer for the ride up. Made our way over to the park to hike a bit. Got some turns in and left around 2 to go get some food. Pizza Jerks is bangin by the way. Back to the hotel to relax and get rested. FYI, Northstar lodge doesn't have a hot tub.. they have a hot pool. I was expecting moderately heated outdoor pool but this fucker was a steady 95 degrees.

With a full 12 hours of sleep we headed out sunday morning and hiked the shit out of that park. Ended up taking like 4 chair rides all day and we were there open to close. Couldn't stick a blind 270 to save my life but I did get few tricks I wanted. Got some food, some VT beer to take home, met Lucas Magoon's mom and chilled with her for a bit then hit the road. Oh yeah and Captain Hindsight just told me that buffalo and garlic/romano wings before a 6 hour drive home is a bad idea.

Good trip.

northstar is awesome. that pool + mini-keg after a day of skiing is key. do you know if they're still doing that special this weekend? and how was it looking for top to bottom? i probably won't be riding park this weekend, so it's a tough sell if it's not top to bottom...

I cannot speak in certainities, other than that if they can blow snow without losing it all 2 days later, they will blow snow.

Forecast looks pretty favorable for the latter half of the week, but forecasted and actual often is a whole other ballgame.

It's definitely a wait and see type of thing as far as top to bottom is concerned at this point.

im usually not a huge fan of killington but i have to say they did an awesome job this year. the walkway is a bit annoying but so worth it to be skiing. the park setup was so much fun. props to park crew for adding a feature and changing it up. usually i rarely see park crew doing anything throughout the day but they were constantly raking lips and making it better, if you havnt been there yet, grab a 2 for 1 and go because its so much fun and it doesnt look like anywhere else will be open this weekend

If you're in town Saturday, be sure to check out the railjam at Evolution Freeride on the Killington Access Road. Get some riding in in the morning and head down the road to a jam with great prizes.

Registration starts off at noon and runs up until 2pm when the jam kicks off. First place gets a spot on Nordica's amateur team as well as tons of other prizes and swag from Nordica and Monster.

Registration is only $10. The setup is still being finalized but we're likely looking at a flat box, down rail, and a down-flat-down rail (don't hold me to that exact setup as they are finalizing those details).

Any questions, let me know and I'll get the answers!

Also, keep in mind that Killington is hosting it's Loaded Turkey Rail Jam on Sunday on the mountain with the winner getting a coveted spot in Rails to Riches.

It's going to be a big weekend up here, so be sure to head up!

UPDATE FOR SUNDAY- Since we have been seeing so many kids in the Reason park on the weekends, we will NOT be closing it for this Sunday's Loaded Turkey Rail Jam. Instead, we will be building a completely different park on Downdraft for the event. Only 2 spots left for skiers, riders is already full.

Killington is lighting the shit out of the mountain currently. Blasting top to bottom over on Snowdon. Might not be enough to make it happen for tomorrow, but Sunday might very well be top-to-bottom and they surprised us all by opening up on a Tuesday with very short notice.

It's going to a be a fun weekend in town between the mountain expanding terrain, the rail jam at Evolution saturday and Loaded Turkey Sunday.

I'll be up tomorrow, red First Drop hoodie, black Ski The East tee and yellow snowpants. If you see me say herro
