what do any of you VTers (or anyone for that matter) think of the chances of kmart being open this weekend? cold weather later in the week, maybe with some snow, think they can do it?

 
um dont think this weekend, its cold, but i dont think they will spend the money to open this weekend

just wait, a week of cold nights and the possibility of snow, they open as soon as they can, they dont wait around. keep looking at the site or give them a call. god i cant wait for 2 trails with 1000 people on them. its gonna be awesome

Starting on Friday the temps will be in the teens at night all the way through the 26th. This should give them a solid week of blowing at night. My bet is that they will open on the 26th. If not definately by the 2nd of November. Who cares about the crowds, the will probably have a rail or two.

there's no way killington would be open this weekend. it just started getting cold this week, and now its raining here in NH. Are they getting rain over there?

for anyone who cares:

I live here and have friends who are snowmakers who are required to report for full time work on monday oct 21. With the forcast for consistent snowmaking temps right now, they should be operationg by thursday oct.24. most likely by sat oct 26.

I will keep posting info as it becomes avail. Also, go to killington.com/chat to find out all the local skinny.

Anyone go to the matchstick premire in Dartmouth last night? Me and the ole lady are planning to attend the premire at higher ground this sunday in burlington.

 
I don't know man, I think there closing. I was just at their clearance sale where I picked up some hunting jackets and some cheap panties for your mom.

 
herd from my friend who works for the snowmaking dept that they are scheduled to make snow sun-mon night and begin operations tues AM. never know that by the fact that it's absolutely dreary outside now. Also, supposted to stay in snowmaking temps for some time so they will probably expand rather rapidly.

Look for upper east glade and rime to be open. Downloading and truck riding is just part of the whole experience when skiing on the east coat in october

 
they said at the east cost movie tour in portsmouth it was openin this tuesday

Yup, last night at the Montreal show, they said they were opening this week.

they should have one opening day cause you dont need the best snow for rails, last year they had like 5, one round striaght, two or so flat strait ones, a trap rail and a rainbow
