Killington trip skis....

hey i am going to killington for a vacation first time going anywhere beside a place in Maryland and 7 Springs not really to sure what to expect but right now i ride the line chronics from last year but am really trying to decide if i should buy the atomic punx i ride a good bit of park but like the mountain and jibs on the side of trails too. are the atomic punx a great ski to take to millington and cruse all over?

Slightly helpful comment is slightly helpful. He means it's probably going to be really icy.

Yeah 95% chance the punx would be a great ski. 5% Chance they get a great storm and you'd wish you had something wider, but you can always demo a nice pow ski if that happens.

Love my pipe cleaners on the EastCost!! Dennis if you like, you could use my Pipe Cleaners ?? I'm a size 28.5 boot and I think the skis are 179. I'm not able to ski this year because I have surgeries coming up this Nov n Dec. So there all yours if you wanna use'em for your trip?

Or I have AR6's too if you like? If your close to a 28.5 I'm pretty sure they could make the binding work with your boot. I just think the pipe cleaners get speed SOO much easyer.

I would stay on your Chronics because of the wider waist to help you all mountain. Its not like they won't be good in the park

I would say that yes you could take the punx out of the park, but they really aren't that great in terms of groomers or pow. They are too soft to charge no matter what any one else says. Yes they can somewhat hold an edge for what they are BUT what they are isn't anything close to what you would want. It's like buying a motorcycle in the late fall early winter, yes you could use it but there are better and more enjoyable options. In terms of doing everything I would rank the chronic higher than the punx, but that doesn't mean that the punx are a bad ski, they are a lot of fun but really shouldn't be out of the park too much.
