Killington this weekend

I hear the 4th and also the 9th, and it all depends on weather in the end. so it may or may not be open this weekend.

i wish i could go..its like a 5 hour drive for me and i still don't have my boots yet and my helment just started to ship..and i don't think my dad would want to waste a weekend to go to killington, hes not too hardcore :(

I skiied killington today, I hiked up snowdon a bit and skied chute. Its still a bit thin on the lower elivations but word is its good up top i just ran out of daylight and was forced to come down before heading over into the glades (north ridge area). As far as i could tell they didnt have the guns on today but they are definatly ready to go.

Was up there today with 3 inches on the ground and it was coming down good still. They planned to blow tonight, and everyone there says this weekend def.

Hope its true cus I need to ski.

would be a pretty sweet weekend if it opened sunday. boston rail jam on sat, and killy opening day on sunday

Won't know til later this week.

I think it'll be iffy.W armer temps teh next 2 days will hurt a bit.

Cold comes bck later this week though.

Update: I made it up to the glades area today (area which killington opens first) The natural snow was acctually very nice, west glade had a consitant band of drifted 12+ inch deep snow. As far as making snow they have not made any. They were working today in the glades turning each gun on and off and getting ready. The temps are still to high to make snow hopefully they will begin to fall. I dont think they will have any problem laying down enough snow in the glades (north ridge) to open this weekend. But they claim to be opening with top to bottom terain so they may run into some temerature issues at lower elivations. Hopefully everything works out. But if they dont open and we pick up some more natural snow I have no problem earning my turns again.
