I just got Killington's newsletter / e-mail "The Drift" They are officially opening Friday, and it looks like they'll have some nice features. Here is a copy/paste from their e-mail:

We kick off the 2007-08 ski and snowboard season Friday at 9 a.m. with up to 19 trails served by three lifts off Killington Peak and Snowdon Mountain. For the latest lift and trail offerings, check out the Snow Report!

For the past two weeks we have had hundreds of snowguns producing a massive amount of snow. In fact, we’ve been able to produce almost twice as much snow this year as we’ve produced for opening day the prior three years. And over the next 36 hours snowcats will be working the snow surface to provide you the best possible opening day conditions.

The K-1 Express Gondola, Northridge Triple and Snowdon Poma will operate on Friday, with the addition of the Snowdon Triple and Snowdon Quad on Saturday. The Reason Terrain Park at Killington Peak will also open on Friday with nine features, including a 28-foot down bar, 28-foot round bar and a hip/table jump. Featured trails include Downdraft Headwall, Rime, Reason, Upper East Fall, Chute and Bunny Buster.

the jump isnt much of a jump, or atleast it hasnt been in the past. dont count on it being like the mt snow jump cause theres no natural slope on the side for that...it does sound sick, and isnt there a railjam there this weekend? turkey jam or somthin? or is that next weekend?

you could've just checked the website.

Adult: $60.00

Young Adult/Senior: $48.00

Junior/Senior Plus: $42.00

Killington makes basically everything upper, middle, and lower, so that means 3 trails are like one. Thats 6 trails. I hope that the rain didn't melt too much. It turned to snow at around 1:00, and hopefully there will be more snow tonight.

i went to mount snow last weekend, it was pretty crouded, i'm sure killy will be the same, but mount snow only had the park from one lift and a different part of the mountain had the other trails so that kept a bunch of silly gooses out

does anybody know what the base is like up at the top?

they are saying more than a foot on the website, but its gotta vary

i wanna ride saturday, but if there isnt good snow ill set something up at my house

forcast for tonight is 2 to 4 inchs of snow

tomarrow says 1-3 inchs with snow showers all day till around 6

its gonna be sick i can't wait!

hip to the right followed by 25 foot jump or a upish flat bar followed by flat up flat box then down rail single barrel or down box, into a propane tank jib

haha my "mountain" will prolly not open for another full month, and 19 trails is prolly all we'll have..

yeahhh NY REPRUZENT

awesome, I'll be there in 2 weeks for a 3 day trip, don't get to ski beforet that though. hopefully the whole mountain will be open by then

its actually a dfd box. but the park is supposed to be different today from what it was yesterday. they just put it all together really quick so there building a better one even though the first one is perfect.

down bar is pretty fun. probably 30 feet long and circle barrel. up rail thing is pretty fun to. trails where icy, but with the sun coming out tomorrow everything should be good.

park was sick early this morning

it got slick tho from the high volume of people going through it

propane tank and down rail is bank

it would be sick if they brought back a tree jib and got rid of that hip at the top

or that high flat box from the late season last spring
