That is mad shitty soxripper.

Mountain shouldnt do that on the biggest week of the year.

And besides that, 20k is nothing for them on THAT particular day, I imagine....they make it back very easily.

We'll have you dead pretty soon.

quit complaining about an awesome mountain. If you complain about stuff like that you woulddie where I live

well, the closest 'mountain' to me is mcintrye. Thats a 169 foot verticle drop. Yeah i am pretty sure that you cant complain either

I live on the shoreline of CT. I still won't go to Killington for 72 bucks a day.

We'll have you dead pretty soon.

---Misty7---...Thats bullshit...it does not cost Killington $20k/day to run their main lift. I have a background working on lifts extremely similar to that lift and/or gondola and at the MOST it costs between $45-$70 per hour. Someone sold you a big line of bullshit, cause your figures are waaaaay offff.

^ no its not, to run the lifts at my shity resort its 600/hour. I went to Killy and got a tour form the dircter of the ski resort mangement program i cant rember if he siad it was 20k/day durring summer or winter. Either way its alot to run there lifts and il take his word for it considering it is his job to know that place inside out.

actually killington does suck...if you're ever skied there and you're not a yuppie from ny or jersey you'd realize it.

killington is the shithole of vermont pretty much, but i have a pass there from asc and stay 10 minutes away so at times it makes sense to trek up there.

stratton, mt snow, okemo, bromley, sunday river, hell even mountain creek...are all worth your money a lot more.

killington charges a shitload for the crappy conditions they put forth on a daily basis. customer satisfaction...they do not know.

here is a few good examples:

killington - say your day lift ticket falls off and you lose it (it happens sometimes)...killington tells you sorry, but we'll sell you another one for $70. stratton charges the same price and will refund your day ticket.

say your season killington pass falls off and you lose it...killington charges you $30 for a reprint. go to the office at stratton and they will happily cancel your first one and print you a new one for free on the spot.

killington needs to learn how the hell to run their 'best family mountain in the east, etc, etc, etc. hopefully if disney or vail finally purchase the damn place they'll do something about it.

Yeah, I even think Pats has a better park than Killington.

my mountain charges $50 i believe if you lose your pass. we have 29 trails by the way. 1082 foot vertical drop. i'm from PA. killington is a lot better than what i have here. did i mention that all but 2 of our rails are ride-on and they cut the pipe once a year?

killington is a place for people that live in like NYC to go cause it is the only place that they know of that is a big MT. for the ones that know where to go on the east most of the time dont go there

Theres no reason to go to killington when theres so many other sick mountains in that area. Killington is unnecesarily large, and most of their trails are exactly the same, moderately sloped blue groomers. Why go to killington when you could go to sugar, stowe, or stratton?

east coast ski resorts look so ugly.

but soxripper, Stevens Pass in Washington has the same rules about daily tickets and Seasons passes. I believe Meadows is the same as well.

'and most of their trails are exactly the same, moderately sloped blue groomers.'

Why the hell would you recommend going to stratton then? Have you ever skiied there? Also known as Flatton, there is no skiing there because it all sucks, yes they have a good park, but I'd rather go to a mountain that has less of a park and better skiing. Personally I think they did a good job with Killingtons park and Outer Limits is 1000 times steeper then anything you will find at Stratton

justo, you're talking about blue mountain PA, that's my mountain. It's more like 12 trails, they just love to cut a 50ft. path between two trails and voila! a new trail!. Still, if you compare blue to all other ski areas within a day drive from Philly Blue owns there. For 100% manmade snow cause nature fucks them over annually they do a good job.

I like Killington because of its hugeness, but since I haven't been there since my parents actually used to pay for lift tickets I didn't do park and I hadn't skied real powder. Probably about 6 years ago.
