Killington Sold

I heard from my buddy Ian Dwyer whose dad works at Killington that ASC sold the mountain to another company, but he doesn't know which one.

If I had a ridiculous amount of money, i would buy a ski mountain and close it and use it only for myself and friends. Thats legal right? I would have to put a fence around the mountain to keep out hikers. Now that i think about it though, any one who is willing to hike the mountain should be able to ski it. I would keep it fully staffed as well. So really the only people skiing would be myself, friends, family, and the staff. Or i could just make poeple take a competency test before being able to buy a ticket

just befriend ted turner. he's probably got mass mountains with all his acreage. then use his heli to take some laps

ASC is in ridic debt, I belive somewhere around 400million? I do not see why they would sell killington, their main money maker, unless it was for an insane amount like a quater billion+, which I doubt.

hah, nah, sorry uhh, i guess kids didnt realize i was just joking. online sarcasm is hard to pick up when you cant see their face obviously. the first thing that actually came to my mind was the whole all east ski pass deal. This deal also brought to mind their park, meaning, how much money would be put into it, more or less, and how much would lift ticket prices go up or down. more stuff of that nature came through my head.

ive heard asc is dumping some mtns.. killy was their biggest.. maybe we'll get lower lift ticket prices.. or higher.. lets just hope intrawest didnt buy it

Wow i think if you wanted to crush the dreams of small children learning to ski and snowboard that would just about do it

killy was in debt so much a couple of years ago. i hope its not true, as said before, the all for one pass is doomed

asc sold killy and steamboat I believe. I think it was to some canadian company, but I'm not sure. Yea, killy was a money maker, but selling it is a step towards getting out of debt. I believe the all east pass will still exist tho

If ASC sold steamboat to Intrawest..there's a good chance killington will go the same way....get ready for a cooky-cutter ski-resort-village at the bottom of K1...at least maybe they'll have a Helly Hansen store...

haha i was thinking the same thing today on the ski lift and turn it into a mini bear moutain like all freestyle terrain resort

they were already planning on making a village. It's being built this summer i believe, at snowshed. They were supposed to build it a long time ago just like the killington-pico connection but it never happened because of debt.

yeah theres prototype pics of it inside a lodge at snowshaed.i remember seeing like a water ramp but i think its a ballon landing,no joke.

ya it is kyle, talk to jack. His dad is high up in the company in doing it. He said that the company his dad works for was actually thinking about buying killington

more importantly though, killington didnt get sold. It was all a rumor i guess that just got huge, so many of the employees believed it.

canadians arnt as big money whores as americans this could be a good thing mabey a more laid back chill atmosphere and not as high lift ticks
