Killington Secrets

Hey i was just wandering if there were any great spots at killington that almost nobody nos of and thats good. Bc ive seen guys start hiking left off the gondola and havent tried it yet

 
I am an old K-town local, anywhere and everywhere{ the trees off any of the peaks holds secrets} but thats all I can tell ya { careful though Killingtime locals get very aggro when outsiders are following them cuttin up there shit} just be creative and while your ridin lifts look in the trees damit! theres shots everywhere. I have trimmed cut some myself{ I have already said too much!!} Good Luck.

 
haha left of the gondola is catwalk which has been an actual trail for years. Just hit up the new glades trails that they FUCKING DESTROYED by making them trails on the map. I know just about every spot on that mtn and there are still quite a few non-map trails left and I will not tell you them simply b/c there are aleady enough spots for you and other outsiders

 
after that hike you mentioned, it's tempting to ski down the back, but you will regret it if you do. The bushes get tighter and tighter... and eventually you have to hike back up. hang right, don't ski down the back and you will be happy

 
up on Snowdon there's some nice glades-except they named some of them now, which could end up killing them-but i havn't seen any new signs up yet-also, for a quick hit on the trail-at the top of No Name Trail (needle's eye lift-line), you can cut through the trees to get under the lift, where nobody ever skiis-the snow there can get fairly deep.

BTW, what's off to the left of West Glade? (Ridge Run now)

 
k thx guys... yea i just saw the stairs going up the rocks and thought it mite b great... some locals call some trail go light? wheres that?

 
DepierreAr5 if you cut far left twords the top of double dipper thats not the light jackass its mississippi ave and the waterfall the light is else where since its not so great ill give u a hint its off of a bike trail

if you want to see them you need to find someone to show you them. Especially after killington opened up a bunch of glades that used to be stashes you aint gonna get any goods by asking questioins on a message board.

i go to battle field high school and it sucks!!!
 
KILLINGTON SUCKS. I don't know why people keep raving about it. Save your cash come down to NH and ski waterville for 3 days for the price of one ticket at killington, and also you will ski a park 100 times better then killington, and actually built by someone who knows what the hell they are doing.

But yeh I don't know of any secrets there, but if I wanted an environment like killington I would just go to New York on the busiest(sp) day of the year.

 
i dont know why people constantly bitch about killingtons crowds though im usualy not ther eon weekends when i am the crowds are easy to avoid if you know your way around well and have experince knowing where the busiest areas are

I don't get pissed about the crowds...I get pissed with the Brazilians running the lift lines...they can't fucking count to 4 and it makes the waits in line 4 times longer than they should be...

 
i wish i could have been there today. 17 inches would have been so awesome. Back to the thread topic though, i have no idea where any of the 'secret' places are and ive been skiing there for about 5 straight years now. Plus i almost killed myself on the fiddle last week, so now im scared.

i think the bunch of guys from jamaica (i think) that are usually up in glades area are awesome. Last year i was up there and they had a boom box with reggain music playin at the lift stations. it was awesome
