Killington Park on Bear Trap

i would tend to agree with that. all though i think there should be a mix of different types of take offs through out a park. like flat rails, ups, and stuff with regualr takeoffs then downslants and downkinks with urban takeoffs.

that's how killington does it.

and anyone else wanna email killington about using park passes? Just me doing won't be enough. We should get a lot of people to suggest it and maybe, just maybe, they'll do it next year. It cant hurt...

On a side note, we filmed a little bit after exams on a short session of that propane tank. Im uploading a 30sec edit of it onto putfile right now. Basically everything else was closed cause it was pretty much a skate rink.

fuckin eh, well it said on killy's website that they're constructing something on bear claw, any inside info as to what's gonna be there and when it'll open

i was just there today and they took out the second hip and pushed the snow down and have the general shape of a pretty decent sized step down. Just needs some fine tuning. Probly like a 30 foot gap or so, maybe more, but its like a 10 foot step down. The landing seems way too steep though.

as far as I know there hasn't been a rail on snowshed in many years. unless i missed something earlier this season...

yeah they just put it up last sunday, quite fun for some reason, good for learning new tricks in a small area

i think that little park at snowshed is still up. They have it lit up at night until 9:30 too. It's $12 though, even if you have a pass which is completely and utterly stupid. Theres not even a rope toe or anything.

when do they start charging cause i was seshioning it sunday till almost 430 with lights on and there was no problem

i stopped by sunday night i think at like 6 and a guy wouldnt let us hit it unless we had some wrist bands. Maybe they just hadn't sent anyone over there yet.

new step down on Bear Trap (they're calling it 30 feet) looks fun

yeah, mixing freestyle with racing...... 360 mute on first jump, couple of quick human slalom turns to alley oop blunt on the hip, to a big gs carve around a bunch of ministars, to a big 7 safety and finally a tuck finish to get the fuck out of the park

I asked Killington, and this is the response I got:

"We started making snow at the pipe Tuesday night and will continue for the next six to seven days. Then, we have to let is leech for a couple of days before we start building and then cutting. All told, if the weather cooperates, maybe by next weekend.

We should have the Superpipe cam on the website by this weekend so you can watch the progress. The cam is also taking a shot every hour so we will have a time-lapse video of the process - which will be real cool!

Yeah, I bet if you really shoot it you can clear 30 feet but there's now way that its 30 feet from the lip to the start of the landing.

that bothers me so much everything they build is super mellow, exept for the hips, and the one that is open has stick in front of it to prevent you from hitting it like a table

whoever said there wasn't going to be a park on timberline this year, was lying. for any one who enjoyed the flow of that park, killy's website said that it's under construction along with bear claw right now

nah, in some other thread someone said straight up that there wasn't gonna be a timberline park this year, but whatever, now we're getting the park there so it's exciting

The timberline park will be moved to Dream maker. According to Killington however, there will still be a few "snow elements" left on Timberline. whatever "snow elements" are, it sounds like some jibs. But as far as there being a top to bottom park like there has been, no, it will be on Dream maker this season.

that new step down is probably actually 30ft. It was closed today so i couldnt hit it but i ducked the bamboo and looked at it from the lip. The picture makes it look smaller than it actually is, its a pretty decent size jump and the deck kinda slopes up so anyone who cases by a lot (gapers) are going to diiie and im going to love it.

then perhaps lazyness of the park crew? i didnt see em up at all?

but killington has been suuper icy and i know for a fact that 2 days ago a lot of the features were closed solely because of all the ice. So im still sticking with the iceyness reason
