Killington opens tomorrow (11/2) at 10 am!

Get ready to shred! We are kicking off the 2010-11 ski and snowboard season tomorrow (11/2) at 10 a.m. up here at Killington.

We'll offer upper-mountain skiing in the North Ridge area. The K-1

Gondola will provide upload/download, while access back to the top of

the K-1 Gondola from the North Ridge area will be via a 5-10 minute walk

on the new Peak Walkway.

Open terrain will include more difficult and most difficult only. No

beginner terrain will be available. Season pass holders who have not

activated their passes may do so at the Snowshed Sales Center beginning

at 9 a.m. Tuesday.

WE WILL HAVE SOME FEATURES SETUP ON REASON! I'll post further details later today. Expect early season conditions.

See you up here!

Big thanks to the ops crew for pulling some sleepless nights to get us on the mountain!

Should be! Aim is to stay open and barring a disaster in the weather forecast, they should be rocking and rolling this weekend.

If it makes you feel any better its been roughly the same price for the last 10 years for opening day shred.

ya I know I rode there last year early season and it was wack then too.
I rode sunday river last week and it was 25$, and i'm sure it cost them more to open early than it has cost kmart to open now.

Well thats mid-season skiing. Its somewhat different from early season because mid-season conditions are way better than early season. PC's mid season tickets are $90 bucks.

yeah it's fuckin ridiculous. they have that thing where you buy one ticket and it's good for 3 days. it's like 70 bucks.

my school is running a trip to killington for 250 bucks, 3 nights of hotel on the mountain and 3 days of skiing, good deal? it'll be in december.

why dont u cry about it.
and anyways sunday river had a half of a trail open and 2 features. killington is probs going to have atleast 4 trails and one being the early season park that always has atleast 4 features and they will have a full lift open

If you don't like the price, then go ski one of the other mountains that is open tomorrow. Oh, wait, there are none.

Hate on me if you will, but I'll see you on the mountain otherwise.

I am pretty 100% positive I payed $39 early season last year. Who am I kidding, definitely going at some point this weekend.

Typical NS responses to a thread like this...
1) "Too much for early season"2) "Whats the park set up going to be like?"

1) Get a job, get over it2) Are you serious? Go slide down the hill, it's November 2nd.

Ugh, opposite direction from home for me, but it sounds like a fabulous idea. I could go for some Double Bag Chile.

Park Crew just checked in from on-board one of our BR350 snow cats with news that we'll have four features in the early-season terrain park on Reason for Tuesday. I'll post pictures of the setup tomorrow morning.

sums up my jealousy

You guys are FUCKING NUTS. Go ski and quit your bitching. Christ, its November 2nd and you'll be able to get some form of turns in. JESUS.

i am 100% ready to pay the $50 tomorrow. i truly don't carebut in the haters defense, sunday river was $20 last year october 15th like i said, i want to ski and will pay whatever to do so

from past experiences, im guessing flat bar and flat box up top, then down bar and probably that new down rail with the donkey dick or a flat down rail/box.
