Killington opens TOMARROW!!!!!!!!!!!

for all of you who dont know, big ol K town opens tomarrow. yes that tuesday 10/22/02 and a whole bunch of pros are going to be there too.

I've heard a lot of bad things said about skiing in the East but no one's ever told me your mountains open in October! I ski at Whistler and I have to wait another month! Damn you!

 
just another thought...do your seasons end earlier in the east? that would make me feel a bit better.

 
our season can last into june... at least kilingtons season but whistlers season goes just a bit longer like into july right...

yea, why wouldnt you skip school for opening day? Gte your priorities straight! When the shine opens i have 4 days of skiing linedup for the weekend

i really am almost positive killy will not be open tommorow. it would say something on their site, check snow report it says sometime in the next week or so.

I thought the skis made you good. I got the skis and it turned out I was wrong. It must be the clothes.

Tuesday is too soon. They will open Thursday or Friday, Top to Bottom, so said Steve. Of course, that is a Might open those days, and maybe top to bottom. It is possible that this will or will not happen, but who to know.

There is another large cold mass dropping from Canada on the map, at least the map I just looked at, which means another few days of snow making temps into next week, Maybe ! ;o)

im hittin up killington for like 5 days in november...the weekend of the 6th and then that following week...anyone gonna be up there...im lookin for some people to ride with

That was posted on freeze this morning. so i am basing my info on k town opening on that, and on killingotns website which has pics of lots of snow.

 
they mentioned that at the premier in burlington as well. the local shops have said it will open tomorrow for almost a week.

I'm probably going up Friday night to stay at my aunt's house in Ludlow, VT... its about 15 min away, thats the town that Okemo is at...

If anyone needs a place to stay Friday night, throw me a message/email/IM/call... I might be able to work something out, depending if my aunt is going to be there or not.

ahh that sucks dude. I'm going up on friday, should be up there by 1 pm or so. Right after school. Some friends went up and built a booter at killington yesterday, said it was pretty nice.

4 new inches today at ktown. rainbow rail and a hip up top like last year is the word. 8 trails (3 runs) with top to bottom, no down loading. See yo sorry asses there, I'm sleepinmg out to get the first gondy up.

i'll be there saturday, yes the site says they will have an 'early season terrain park' and i think someone mentioned a hip, that would just make my month of october.
