Killington opening monday

last year for Veteran's day weekend Killington had a buy one ticket get one free coupon thing you could print out on their site, does any one know if they will have that again this year?

they had it earlier this year, in like august or something. it was buy one get one free, and was valid until december 16th. but it ended like a month or 2 ago

.

also just checked the forcast via wunderground.com and it says killy will possibly see accumulations up to 10 inches on wednesday night. STOKED. might end up at loon or sr this weekend too.

I personally wont drive 3 hours to pay $40 to ski half a hill and have to deal with up/downloading and a very very long line.

Not to mention a lot of my friends wont go because of it, so I'd most likely be skiing that 1/2 of a slope alone. Meh.

haha as true as this may be, I feel that putting a rail or two up would be a good move on Killy's part. All the park rats will crawl out the sewer with their mommas money for a lift ticket.

I got one in like august because im part of their mailing list. But anyhow, i'll be making the 1.5 hour trip, i need to ski, i really dont care about the lines

Yeah I have a 3 hour drive which isn't that bad and staying over in a hotel for 2 nights to go on Saturday and Sunday, I don't care about lines or what they have set up just as long as there is snow haha.

Also for anyone who wants the buy one get one free lift ticket to use for the upcoming weeks I found the link for it http://www.killington.com/winter/2for1/2for1-skimag-2013/

I called yesterday and they said that today and tomorow are perfect for snow making. And they will do their best to put them up tonight/tomorow

Sunday River, Loaf and Mt SNow should probably be open next weekend. Sunday RIver has 200+ guns up on T2 and should have a decently legit park opening day. They also should have open Locke and Barker... not sure exactly. All those mountains are currently blowing, Stowe also looks promising....

Not to mention the myriad of shitty parents that shove their toddlers out into the heaviest crowds of the year- and often the sketchiest bump sections all year- only to watch them flail and crash into someone (of course) who they then scream at like it's their fault that parental common sense didn't outweigh their need to dick swing to the other joeys about going huge at K.

I fucking hate Killy opening week. Seriously. Great mountain, worst time ever to go there though.

I would cry tears of joy. what makes you say this tho? They were saying opening day the 17th and knowing stowe they wouldnt do anything nice for the people, like opening early.

Sunday river is also open tomorrow and others (like Smuggs, Mt Snow, Loaf, Loon etc.) should follow soon.

You're around 23-25 right? we're in the same boat...skiing's skiing's in early November, 10 yeas ago I would have killed for a rail but now it would have been a great day if i didn't have to work and drive 4hours to get to killington, but got to ski a few runs regardless of how few rails there were.

or

fuck paying a lot of money to rip around on groomers for a couple hours when I can easily move some snow and go hit street rails for a small fraction of the cost

I saw on fb they set up a donkey dick down rail, elbow rail, and a dfd. Should be sick. Im headed up there Saturday. Whos goin?
