think they got like 20new rails, park/pipe are on steeper trail got a new pipe cutter, heard bigger jumps too

ok, not that i'm exactly incharge of the park, but i am a local and know many people who work on the mountain, so i'm not just making this up.

They're moving The Beach to bear mountain where they claim they will devote much more space to terrain parks. I'm thinking this will mean more than one trail. They're saying more hits, rails etc than they've ever had before. Plus a competition spec. superpipe. The smaller park on Timberline at Ram's Head will be tripled in length (thank God!) and have a 1/4 pipe added.

I doubt that they will be open untill about the 7th of nov...and that's if the weather is cooperating. Some of the snowmaking crew doesn't go back untill the 31st...plus a week or so of snowmaking so i'm guessing that if they start blowing next week, they'll be open by about the 7th (weather permitting of course)

Regardless, the season can't start soon enough.

the park should be DOOOOPE. rosie and crew finally got something awesome to work with that doesn't involve a bunch of beginners on the trail all day long. plus they got their own groomer for the park so it can actually get groomed EVERY night.

malczyk..haha i said the same thing when i heard, but ive been up there a bit, and ive seen the contruction for everything, ect

the park is moved to bear, they have cut a new trail and are digging out the pipe area...gonna be about 18 foot walls, very similar in contruction to the sobe pipe at okemo...there WILL be a handletoe from the top and bottom of the pipe, 18 new rails being built (whether their good or not who knows)

but their TALK is turned into action amazingly enough

last night someone told me it opened this weekend. but i don't know how true that is. either way i'm going up friday hopefully they're open

To day there was some snow atop killy in the morning, its going to be getting cold as tits durring night this week.

 
killinton is dope skied there last year

and this year the park will be so much better can't wait for it to open

I seriously feel sorry for you eastern folk. I was out there for a few months last season and stopped by killington and was incredibly disappointed. Less than 1000' of vertical per run just isn't too popular with me.
