Killington is open right now!

Hey hey heyyyy guys, no fighting! No disrespect to the west coast at allll, hell every eastern kid like me would kill to go out west! its just so happened that bigger mountians were created out west and thats how it is.. what we all care about when we can put our winter tires on and go skiing! Just tryna share some stoked-ness
 
The weekend.... Does not equal one day.. Yeah you're right, why ski good days when it's gonna rain the next 2.. Good logic!

You can't be stoked for them? That's pretty fucking sick: skiing in October, I'd do anything to ski right now, you're just mad NY wont open for another 2 months. Let them have their fun, East Coast FTW. Killy is lookin sick, looks like snowmaking temps later next week? Winter is coming East coasters!!
 
Yeh, doesn't Killington always do this to claim first resort to open in the US, at least that's what I read in where to ski and snowboard 2009
 
Yeah I mean we have had some rail jams out here this year, I definitely agree that I have been on snow before these killy shenanigans, but for me, i always get the most stoked when the mountains open and everyone is just back riding.

I guess what my point is, the east coast is rough, I moved west to escape the east, but I am so stoked for the east and my friends who get to ride today. I know abay wil open soon, but for right now I'm actually kind of jealous, wishin I was at killy at this moment at least. But I shall be so glad im here shredding abay in a few days when they open, I love skiing, and thats all I really know deep down.
 
Sunday River has been first on the east for like 5 years maybe, Killington took it this year.
 
i could care less if i don't ski for 2 months, i have bigger things to worry about right now. I think it's dumb because it will just melt. This whole week it's supposed to be in the mid to upper 50s..so, yeah. i'm real pissed that i can't ski on 8 inches of fake snow..
 
How bout this... let's not take every single thread and turn it into a east vs west coast skirmish. Consider it our new year's resolution.

If there was a thread, "which Mtn has the worst bathrooms", people would turn it into an east/west battle. fucking annoying
 
Not all the snow will melt if it's in the 50's... And that's the base, It's much colder at the summit of Killy, which is why they made all that snow. This is a ski forum so most logical people on here would LOVE to ski on "8 (more than that...) inches of fake snow".

This for sure! I am beyond stoked for sr shredding early this year. Sugarloaf and Saddleback both got snow recently as well. I am a very happy person at the moment.
 
dude i live on the east coast and even I know you can't even pretend to try and compete.

killington will probably close in a week and won't reopen until mid november and by that point every CO mountain will be open...
