Just bought and watched the DVD last night, its def good shit. My friends got free passes to Kill Bill 2 psyched to see that this weekend.

live action anime.....it really doesn't get any better than that does it? i just saw it for the first time last night and i was thoroughly satisfied with the amount of fake blood used in the movie. i also can't wait to see the new one

i JUST saw the first one, it was crazyness

so much fighting, they loved the whole cutting off parts of the body and having blod spirt for a good couple minutes

i really wanna see how this shiz ends though, really bad

I just saw Vol. 2 and i have to say it was quite good. Still not as good as Pulp Fiction, but when standards are that high, it's hard to beat.

i saw vol 1 for the first time last night, best movie i've seen all year. i'm seeing volume 2 in a couple of hours.

vol 2 was quite excellent. very very good. but i was kinda hopin to see pai mai fight somethin fierce, or see bills chest blow open at the end after the fifth step.

 
Yes, as a movie it was much better than the first volume, although you shouldn't compare them, since they're supposed to be 2 parts of the same thing. But Vol 2 was much more like Tarantino; awesome monologues, great characters who play off each other (gotta love Pai Mei) and a few good fights. Michael Madsen was absolutely awesome, and Carradine was great also. Tarantino at his best, as he almost always seems to be.

I didnt ruin the ending, the guy above me did, that's who he was talking to... also that guy didnt ruin the ending. If you didn't expect that to happen you forgot to read your movie ticket.

it said it was the 4th movie by tarantino. what were they? I can think of more than 4. reserve dogs, desparado, from dusk till dawn, puld fiction, jackie brown, kill bill 1&2. i dont get it?

 
^he was in desperado for like 5-10 minutes and if you havent seen desperado do your self a favor and rent right now because tis one of the best movies ever!

 
meh, he wouldn't really have ruined the ending. the end of the has so much else involved that that little detail of how she killed bill wouldn't really take anything away. that said, go see the second one, it's amazing. i heard an interesting little fact that was pretty amusing. tarantino has quite a big foot fetish, so he tended to focus in on the actors feet alot in the two movies. not so much that it's noticable, but since i knew about it before i saw the movies, it added just a little more to it all. plus i heard that out of the deleted footage there was over an hour of shots just of the actor's feet.

Kill Bill Vol. 1 was the fourth film by Tarentino because it was the fourth he wrote and directed. Technically he only half wrote Jackie Brown because it was based on the book Rum Punch by Elmore Leonard

Kind of dissapointing, there wasn't nearly enough fighting. And the scene with Bill at the end should have been an actual long fight scene.

A long fight scene at the end would have taken away from the scene itself, which wasn't at all about the fighting. If that's what you watched the movie for, go find a more one-dimensional director.

i just watched the first one, and have no idea what all the hype was about. i enjoyed it, but i thought it was going to be a hell of a lot better than it was, there didnt really seem to be more to it than the fighting.

i dunno, i could be a little bit biased cause i had just watched 21 Grams and Lost in translation, which are both incredible movies

 
GAH! veryne shut up about the details of the movie, I'm in Japan, stuck here for a couple more months and it isn't supposed to come out here till the end of May. Now I need to erase the last 2 minutes of my life.

Yeah I know that it was very artisitic, it's Tarantino etc. etc., but he himself said that this series was supposed to be mindless action with a very basic plot just to move it along and provide context. That's what the first one was, and I don't think it was unreasonable to expect that from the second.

Vol. 1 was more than an action movie, but most of that came from style, etc. rather than from plot. Vol 2 had so much more going for it. I cannot stress enough how great some of the monologues were...Darryl Hannah's was just gargantuan in its awesomeness. Huh... I so rarely get to use that word in a sentence.

both the movies are awesome. i remember hearing critics saying that the second one was sure to be somewhat of a let down, thinking that it wouldn't be better than the 1st, but now they're all saying it's the better of the two. someone mentioned all the fake blood in the first one, they actually had to stop filming for a while because they ran out of fake blood, and had to order a bunch more.

^hah awesome! i love how when the guys head get cut off he sits there for a moment and then the thing sprays up like a water fountain for like 2 minutes

 
i love the girl that gets her legs cut off and you can see her just crawling around on stumps in the background for like five minutes, and near the end when she gets the tip of her head cut off and it flies through the air, that was just great.
