i dont want to give to much of it away... but what did you guys think?

the first one was one the most amazing movies i have ever seen. everytime i watch it i pick up on something new which leads me to believe tarantino is a genious and way ahead of the game when it comes to producing movies that all movies should and will become.

but for some reason i wasnt impressed with Vol 2.

perhaps cause Vol 1 was sooo good that no matter what tarantino produced for the sequal it wouldnt live up to the first.

i do however like how it was a exact continuation of the first leading off exactly where the first one ended. and i also found it interesting how he changed the theme or mood from a japanimation like film (vol 1) to a old japanese kung fu (vol 2).

the sequal certainly answers all the questions that were left unanswered in number one, but lacks what we all went to see it for; fighting, violence, and orginal and creative ideas and only tarantino can think and apply.

i personally think he should have taken a little bit of the action from the first and perhaps tried to use that in the 2nd.

i also dont understand why Bill remained so mysterious in the first, and then withen the first scene he is present for almost all of the movie in Vol 2.

perhaps that was another way of tarantino trying to change the mood of the movie.

and lastly for a man as supposedly feared as Bill he sure didnt put up much of a fight against the bride. i defiently think they should have taken that scene a little further.

anywho, all in all i suppose it was alright. if youve seen the first you def gotta see the 2nd to get the full idea and concepts of the movies. i just think tarantino could have taken the idea a little further and applied it a little better in Vol 2.

Mark, if what you really want is a movie with cool fighting scenes, you'll want to watch a different 'tarantino presents' movie coming out called Hero (don't ask me what Tarantino has to do with it, since he isn't directing or producing it, but the studio says he 'presents' it).

KB2 was better than the first movie because the characteers came across so well. Michael Madsen, David Carradine and Darryl Hannah were all perfect, and the dialogue was funny at points, but overall, was just an example of a great script. Plus that one dark scene (you know what I'm talking about, I don't want to spoil it for others) was incredible, at least for me, I saw it in Imax. Was really cool.

The bride (kiddo) was far superior in fighting by the time she went to kill bill. Thats why that fighting lasted like 2 seconds. Remember the whole learning elite fighting tactics with pei mei?

^^JD, you saw it in IMAX? Are you serious? Where???? I would definately go see it in IMAX. The first was good for what it was, but the second made the two parts a real movie.

Silvercity, it's a big theatre complex in the middle of nowhere about 20 mins from here. I've seen all the good movies recently in IMAX (all the good scifi ones I mean), Hellboy, Underworld, Matrix 2 & 3, and now KB. Underworld was fuckin insane in there, the screen is huge, but the audio is fuckin NUTS, when somebody fires off a gun you can feel it. And all the ambient noise etc. is just like you're in the room with the people in the movie. I love Imax, regular theatres seem so small now.

i will give my quick opinion.

As a stand alone film Kill Bill Vol. 2 was great...as a pseudo-sequel to Vol. 1...it wasn't as impressive as i was hoping.

I liked it. It was a good contrast to Vol.1.

they had a preview for hero before Vol 2 and it looks pretty nuts. i just hope its not all like crouching tiger hidden dragon where their like flying and stuff.

and for the guy that mentioned the bride was far superior in fighting then Bill. if i remember correctly they were all members of the deadly vipor assassination squad and were all trained by ping mei.

vol 1 and vol 2 were shot as one movie at the same time, then separated into the two movies

hence why i suggested taking a little action from the first and incorporating it into the 2nd.

and just cause it is shot as one long movie dosnt mean they dont film certain scences knowing that it is either going to be used in the first or 2nd movie

At first when I walked out of the movie theatre, I thought that it was an amzing video, but I also felt a little disapointed. But upon waking up the next mourning and thinking of the night befores moive(kill bill v.2) i decided that v.2 was an amzing video and that I really liked it and it was a perfect 'sequal'(using only for the purpose of there being two movies), but I changed that and decided 'kill Bill' was one of my favorite movies ever(because it is one movie that just came out in two movies)

I think in the final scene, not only was the bride a supior fighter, I think Bill knew he would not be the one that survived the night, and he was fighting the women he loved, and going along with what bud/sidewinder said: 'we deserve her vengance...'(however it goes) he did not fight with all his heart.

 
ya volume 2 isnt a sequel its the same movie they were originally going to be one movie but miramax is gay and had them slip it into 2. i heard somewhere back when peter jackson was gonna find the production company to make lord of the rings he went to miramax and they said no unless he put them all into on 2-hour movie boy wouldnt that have sucked! so in otherwords miramax sucks. and kill bill is one of the best movies ever.
