Kids these days.

pollard used to ski without poles, until someone smacked some sense into him. now he's one of the best all around skiers out there.

basically, if you ski with no poles, you are resigning yourself to the fact that you are a park skier and only a park skier. and thats just lame. might as well move to minnesota or south dakota, where all you need and all you get is a 400 ft. hill with some jumps and rails on it.
 
your throwing a fit because he thought you should use poles and then you come on some website to talk shit on him because hes not good at skiing. whats the difference. grow up.
 
why do you say that??? Just because I dont use poles doesnt make it evennn clooose to snowboarding, not anywhere neer snowboarding.
 
..or she was referring to the his thread where he was talking about being different so that you can be marketable.....but this was already discussed and a conclusion was reached. So yay!

i think it helps your balance to ski without poles, initially you feel like you can't do anything, and then you get used to it and your balance is that much better when you grab your poles again, because you're not dependent on them. If you're opposed to it because you think it looks gay.. go judge a fashion show, planet earth doesn't need you.
