It was helarious this kid came up to me at snowbird yesterday, he was much older than me and looks like a skier who would be mature enough just to do his own thing. but anyways he comes up to me and tells me that skiers where poles and that I looked stupid and I realize that most do and thats fine but I dont. So then he tells me to go find a pair at my local ski shop. and I said no. so hes like your stupid all the pros where poles and you definately need them for balance. skis off and he isnt very good. so then we go down and play around on a box and he comes and is like I hate kids like you who suck but dress gangster then I did a little 270 on 450 off thing and then he was like well I can bust out better and I found out that he cant tailpress a 4 foot box.

So I would just like to say to this kid if hes on here that the reason I dont where poles is because I like it. and I dont what the pros do because I want to be different and thats what makes people marketable because they are different. so if your on here please message me.
 
yeah I just like it. and even if people think that is makes the balance worse I started getting better at spins and grabing them and style when i started not using them.
 
actually I dont think I quite looked gay. Maybe if i was wearing pink tight bell bottom pants or held a little purse I may have looked gay but no poles doesnt mean i have feelings for men. because your using that word in this case im thinking it might be you who has feelings for men.
 
when you guys ski without poles, do you guys ski without them on the mountain or just the park? i only ski without them in the park
 
It's up to the person whether they ski with or without poles. Personally I ski with poles as I like Big Mountain where they are good for balance and the pole plant.

its actually a variation on the old mo-ped joke. unlike all you 15 year olds, i dont need to spend every second of every day trying to be as hard and as original as possible. its a funny joke, you idiots were talking about skiing with no poles, i felt it was appropriate. sooner or later you'll realize that nothings original anymore

I feel naked without poles. Only kids ive ever seen in the park with no pole here in montana is one kid, and he fucking ripped.

Do you just not use poles because you think some company will come up to you and be like hey i like your style because you don't use po;es lets sign you? Yeah that is not going to work you have to be good to get signed not just have your own wtyle without poles...I bet you looked like a little kid just learning how to ski without poles. If you don't want to use poles than switch to snowboarding!!
 
to each their own, i mean i sometimes ski with a nestle hot cocca beanie with matching pompom from like 2 decades ago and sometimes kids are like thats gay but then i just go and own em, each person has diff style shouldnt realy be something to worry about or judge someone by
 
I think the real question here is.....snowboarding with poles??? Ive seen it a bit more often lately and it freaks me out a little bit. Although I would never go up to anyone and try to bash them for it....
 
although ive never snowboarded and my friends who do dont use poles.....so maybe that is a good reason for it??
 
this one pole thing deffinetly makes sense to me when dealing with flat terrian but I would just do what everyone else does and unbuckle one boot and use that foot to move.........but like I said Ive never snowboarded so I have no idea.
 
2 poles would be easier than one...and why does he give this talk about if your smart you would get one for flat terrain like this....and then unbuckles his boot from the board.

that was the #1 stupidest thing I have ever read in my entire life. If you think that i ski without poles to try to get sponsored your very wrong. Also little kids that dont ski with poles dont go fast and slide boxes and rails and shit. Also when I see skiers like you, it makes snowboarding sound great.

Ok I am sorry your right. I was just saying cuz the kid was like all the pros use poles and I dont want to be like the pros I want to be different and that statement just helped mypoint.
