Kids hating on T-Hall

Why is it little park rats always hate on T-Hall now a-days, I ski mostly park because i live in Pa so thats pretty much all there is to do that's fun, but i think he is one of the best skiers alive right now. What do all you think?
 
I personally have never met anyone that has hated on T-Hall. I'm sure that for every 1 person on here that posts something saying hes gay or whatever, there are 15 others who respect him more than any skier. Sure, he has a different personality, but that just makes him even more legendary
 
haha that's where i live, to bad I mostly ski vermont, and CA. Not that it really matters but i also went to Momentum last year. I'm not claiming to be good or anything. I have just heard about 10 kids recently hating on Tanner saying he is nothing compared to Wallisch but i don't even think you can compare the two.

I was't trolling I just wanted to see what people thought. I don't understand how a legend like Tanner can be hated on.
 
You ski Vermont and CA... come ski the real east then we talk. Anyways, just because someone's a legend doesn't mean they shouldn't be hated on. Look at George W. Bush. Man's a fucking legend and he was voted one of the worst Presidents of the United States.
 
You have a good point, and i understand that he gets hated on a lot and i can kinda see why. But why is almost always younger kids? and What do you consider the "real" east?
 
I revoke my statement about the real east because I read what you said wrong, I thought you meant that you had shitty parks, but now i understand you wee talking about pow, my bad.

Most of the hate on Tanner here is all jokes. If there's any real beef I think it's just cause they ski park exclusively and he rips on park
 
dude its like any popular figure, they have there followers and they have there haters. Think of every president that has ever lived, both have supporters and people who disagree, its ones opinion.
 
i just do not enjoy his repeated comments, in which he tries to label a certain aspect of skiing more important then any other. We ski because its something we like to do so one person shouldn't only accept one accept of skiing as its true form, it is what you deem fun and meaningful.
 
hes just too easy to make fun of. with the REAL SKIING! and "you just won the x games" and that he spends his life smoking weed, its easy to poke fun at him.
im not a hater, but its fun to makes jokes...... and 40 photoshop threads
 
The reason I don't like and have never been a fan of T Hall is his douchy ass attitude. I think the turning point was when he won x games pipe and got booed, which I can say I was happy to see. I think his attitude changed after that, because he realized no one likes a punk ass attitude.
 
Because for some unknown reason little kids can't comprehend the idea that what was impressive 5 years ago is no longer that impressive. Tanner is an amazing skier made park skiing what it is today. Can he do all four double 10s? No... Does that mean kids should compare Hall and Wallisch? No... If Wallisch and Tanner entered a big mountain comp together... Tanner would destroy him. So, to answer your question, kids hate on Tanner because they haven't been around long enough to witness the influence he's had on our sport first hand. They just see Tom, get caught up in hype, and immediately think no skier in the world is on the same level.
 
When tanner got booed, he said i hope i come back next year and win so i can get booed out again. Because if your getting booed your doing something right.
