Kids being absurdly mean to their bus monitor

No one who donated thought for once that she would use donate it to charity. If I donated money I wanted HER to use it, not for her to give it to a charity. No one donated money thinking "hmmm I hope she donates my money to a charity I don't care about".
 
I said people who may donate. Also not everyone doesn't care about anti-bullying charity. Do you know how many kids go through this type of shit daily? It's absurd and needs to stop.

I feel bad for the woman, but seriously I know there are kids that go through worse shit out there. A kid at my school committed suicide because he was bullied ever since third grade. Commercials, school supported assemblies, what ever will help prevent these things from happening again. I think donations to charities for bully awareness make a lot more sense than giving money to his woman. Do I think she should donate some of the money? No I don't, its her money and she can use it how she wants. To me its just mind boggling that people want to help this situation but forget to see the bigger picture.
 
taking back my previous comment about her giving the money away. i don't care what she does with it, it's not her fault everyone is dumb enough to give her money.

Some people on youtube are the biggest funckin nimrods. All I say is people should be donating toward school assemblies, functions, and anti bulling corporations to make an actual difference. What do they do jump on me and call me the dumb ass, and all sorts of other names. It amazes me. They are all for anti bullying but still bully people? Maybe bullying has turned into an epidemic. Lock your doors and hunker down. Once you are assaulted by a bully you turn into one. Hopefully they will all kill themselves off soon.

When is the last time an assembly at school changed a bully's mind about how he acts? Or how many commercials have persuaded a bully to change his outlook on life?

For Christ sake, when was the last time a "More You Know" commercial changed peoples minds about smoking weed? Judging by your user name, it clearly didn't work on you.

People donated their money to this woman to do whatever the hell she wants to do with it. If she wants to light $100 bills on fire to keep her tea warm, all the power in the world to her.
 
Everyone knows that those anti drug commercials are propaganda horse shit. Last year we had an assembly at my school about anti-bullying and it was really good. They talked about real scenarios and the damages bulling can cause. I am sure the assemblies like that help. It may not change the bullies mind but it will effect people who aren't bullies so they will not step in and play along. I also don't care what the hell the lady does with her money all I am saying is less situations like this will happen if we educate the children.
 
She was verbally abused by kids in the video. It was really bad and people are giving her money because they feel bad for her.
 
This. I don't get why you're all so butthurt about this. I think it's awesome. She might not necessarily deserve all that money, but hey, she got it, and I'm sure she'll make good use of it. If I personally got 500 grand I wouldn't give shit to charity. I would have some fun with it :D. But that's just me
 
This is my POV. Things like this encourage bystanders to do something, for example the other kids on the bus or at those kids school. It also shows everyonee the horrible effects bullying can have, such a death, murder, violence, depression and other things. I think it is important to know about.
 
She wouldnt be giving it back. I just think it would be cool to see if she turned around and donated a quarter of it or something. Not saying she has to or that she should. It would just be a nice gesture to give back when she was given so much.
 
They were really mean, but she was a pretty shitty bus monitor. You should be in that position if you're going to get bullied by the kids. Not saying it was her fault but I mean damn, should have swapped her out with some nazi bitch.
 
people can do whatever they want with their money. don't be mad that you aren't getting all this "free money". if someone wants to donate towards this lady, then let them. you don't have to and no one asked them/asked you to

Anyways, let the people throw money her way, but you should stand up in situations like that. Does anyone even know the background of that woman? Is she retarted or anything?
 
The problem I have heard is that when bus monitors have tried to enforce anything, especially against kids with rich parents they just get fired, if you go find the original thread on reddit it has some background on her and the school system.

Even if she did donate her money, NS would find something to bitch about.

I think you're missing our point. We are not exactly "bitching" more saying that it would be nice to give some of her newly earned wealth back to a cause she obviously cares about seeing as she experienced it, anti-bullying. Now she doesn't owe anything to anyone nor is she truly obligated to donate, but it would be nice and is in some societies expected for someone to donate money after they get a lot of it.

Also I highly doubt that people on my side of the argument (wishing that she would donate) would complain if she received money and donated, maybe people who are against her donating at all and may say "she shouldn't donate" "anti-bullying is BS, why donate too it"
 
She has already mentioned donating some of the money. This event will probably spawn a fake copycat video of bullying to extort money!!
 
I agree, but now once she has the money it would be nice and generous to donate to a cause that she can relate to, anti-bullying, which is the reason people donated in the first place, because they felt bad that she was bullied.

I think schools need to make ant- bullying a priority and take more responsibility at an early age. The anti-bullying programs need to be taught in grade schools at a young age and continued on in thru high school...

People made the choice to donate to the woman so good for her. Also for the woman receiving the money, the gov't will take over half as a "gift tax". That's pretty fucked up in my opinion.
 
I think kids need to be taught how to stand up for themselves. All this anti bullying stuff has to have a limit to remain practical. My brother is 12, when he was in 2nd grade we recieved a very stern and serious phone call from his teacher. Apparently, at lunch, he had said to a student that anothers arm looked "wooden."

Now totally unrelated to what I just said, those questioning why the women was even a bus monitor when she "couldn't even do her job." It was the last day of school and she didn't want to ruin their last day.

What's my point? I'm fucking hungry; Zandertower shut the fuck up.
 
Why was she a bus monitor?

She was a bus monitor/driver for 20 years. Over the course of that time did she ever receive training or develop a set of skills on how to handle unruly children? Did these skills and training suddenly desert her on this afternoon bus ride? Did she freeze up? Why? Those are questions that the local community ought to be asking themselves.

As a bus monitor what were her responsibilities? One would assume that they include maintaining order and sensibilities on the bus. What would her actions have been if the verbal assault had been aimed not at her, but at another seventh grader? Would she have been able to control that situation?

This is not in anyway acting as a justification for the kids actions. What they did was totally unacceptable, and they and their parents should be held accountable. However, the bus monitor should be held accountable as well.

I do not see the justification for a vacation. Would we reward a police officer who surrendered his wallet to a thief?
 
i heard about this these kids are from a couple town over there were stuff on the news about how the community is really pist and gave her gifts and shit
 
fuck off, who are you to decide what i do with my money. i generously donated the money and if this lady wants to spend it on a vacation, retirement, or charity, so be it.

This makes me mad. These are the kinds of kids that have been babied and coddled so much they now how no respect for anyone, not even themselves. The world is going to have a big problem in a couple of years when these kids start entering the workforce.
