Kids being absurdly mean to their bus monitor

She was on the Today show, and said that this has been going on for a while. And that the kids have knocked out her hearing aids, and have knocked off her hair (I'm assuming she wears a wig).

I tried to bring this story to one of the local SLC news stations the other day, and they just responded that it was a NY thing, and they weren't interested. Kinda pissed me off that they didn't even care about it.

Also, the fund raising is over $280,000. Makes me so happy that there's people out there that are willing to help out.
 
my guess is that they dont feel bad. if they stooped that low, there isnt much hope for these sorry excuses for humans. their parents will undoubtedly back them up and even if their lives arent ruined in their owns eyes, other people will always look down on them.
 
wow that is terrible. when i used to ride the bus not even five years ago, my bus driver would throw stuff at up if we said anything that was even slightly mean/rude. if someone swore he would stop the bus and come back to the kid and yell at them.

people need to bring back the days of hitting the kids when they talk back or do anything like this. im not saying beat them, but when i was much younger if i said anything rude/talked back to anyone in my family, especially grandparents, i would get a shoe thrown at me, spanked or smacked in the back of my head. my teachers used to take a ruler and hit kids knuckles with it a couple times if you were mean to someone else in the class. it hurt like a motherfucker because they wouldn't hold back on hitting us and it taught us not to do that anymore.

these kids deserve a good beating and their future of working part time at McDonalds for the rest of their life
 
I disagree. I bet these kids are the type of people who now think they did this woman a service. "If we didn't make fun of her so much, she would never have gotten all this money!" They're probably proud of themselves in some sick way.

its so easy to point the blame at someone else.

my parents, fortunately, are some of the best parents a kid could ask for. we have never spoke about weed, and yet, ill roll you a bangin three pap and get high stoned like a monkey for days.

my parents didnt teach me that.

and if they knew i recreationally smoked they would be extremely dissapointed.

these kids probably act like little angles around mommy and daddy. their parents would never suspect that their kids would ever speak to someone like this.

its not the parents faults their kids speak like this UNLESS they allow this type of language and behaviour in the household.

and, so many people are making comments like "i would beat the shit out of those kids".

ill agree, i would loveeeee to punch a hole in their heads, but lets be honest, violence, as a solution? its 2012 folks, i was kinda hoping we as a society were a little passed that.

i understand these kids were taking some pretty deep swings at this lady, but her best move would have been to just ignore it, consider the source. bullies want a reaction, they want to see you cry, they want to embarass you, they want to get under your skin. dont give them anything to work with and their small little minds will get bored and move onto the next thing.

i dont understand highschool kids these days though. its soooo fuckin coooool to be hard as fuck broo. seriously, youre making fun of a senior citizen, female at that.

older people are cool as hell, they have seen some shit, and have a tonnnn of wicked stories.

hold a door for one, complement them, flash them a smile or a quick joke, make their day!

you would be amazed how many times i have held a door for an elderly lady and shes replied something along the lines of "oh youre so cute and sweet honey, thank you so much".

some of them even look shocked! its not supposed to be a shock that someone 50 years younger is doing something as simple as holding a door for you.

seriously, its way cooler to be cool as fuck with everybody, than to be an asshole to seem "cool".

Just heard on the news that Karen isnt going to press charges on the kids, she said that the school is doing a good disciplinary course. And her kickstarter thing is over 300,000.

Oh and also the kids are getting threats, so the police has officers at their house around the clock, haha. Dont do anything dumb
 
Yeah those kids were real bastards, but you are wrong about elders instantly deserving respect. One of the stupidest things people genuinely believe, lots of people get old.
 
I disagree, Give respect till you feel there is reason not to. In this situation im sure she gave no reason for disrespect. However I have had many elders who are complete assholes, and with them they lose my respect. You give respect until given a reason not to.
 
And if everyone did this. Everyone would respect everyone and it would be a much happier place to live.

exactly. they dont know what the fuck theyre doing. nobody is really conscious until theyre 15 and even then theyre wrong most of the time up until 18 llol

True on so many fucking levels. My dad once said to me that when he was a kid, the asshole would get his ass kicked and that was the end of it.
 
This. I was always told to respect my elders no matter how much they pissed me off or how much I didn't like them. It's bullshit that parents can't properly disiplin their kids anymore without facing some sort of legal interference. When I was younger if I did something bad I got spanked or slapped or just simply got "the look" from my dad and that made me shit my pants on the spot. Parents need to start desiplining their kids properly.

also all the kids phone numbers have been online for probably a day by now and thousands of people have seen it so obviously there has been a huge number of people calling it. it's been disconnected for a long time because I'm sure by the 30th random person calling them they'd be sick of it.
 
apparently the kids are being held in police protection because of all the death threats them and their family has received. They must be shitting themselves. THe CBC article also says one of their cellphones had over 1,000 missed calls and 1,000 texts all saying death threats and such.
 
This is just as what the kids were doing to the monitor. Two wrongs don't make a right, I know it's cliche but what will sending death threats to kids do about anything?

I just don't understand how the general population is so outraged at these kids making fun of this lady as well as giving her death threats, but then retaliate in the same way. This is just lowers people to the same level as these kids, whether they have it coming or not.
 
if their bus monitor was anything like mine, she deserves it. who knows, all this is is just a ten minute glimpse of a whole year of bus rides. she could be a total bitch. just throwin my 2 cents out
 
Nobody deserves that kind of treatment... And if she really was a big bitch, I'm sure as hell she wouldn't have just kindly ignored them like she did
