Kid with afterbangs

"You just landed a cork 5! Congratulations ! Its acceptable for you to wear Full Tilts and a Saga jacket now!"

Come off it retards.

Yeah not to say I'm really good or anything but I don't suck and I skiied with a broken collarbone and straight aired jumps and shit like that. I mean some people just want to have fun and ski the terrain park

Yea my friend broke his collarbone this year and he came back a bit early and wasn't allowed to hit boxes and only straight air the jumps. I bet 50% of the people that saw him in the park that day judged him and they shouldnt have. Also my friend has seen numerous people and be like dude that guy looks like leigh powis but he only 180'd that box, and its like, what if he just smashed his head the run before or is back from an injury.

hell, there only $250 now..I will spray the tops black if i care about them being played out.....ski performance is more important then looks when it comes to the price...

buy em...ride em a winter season...then dry slope/water ramp /urban em till there dead...and toss em and buy another pair late in the season next year

i have been going this with Lines cheaper models for 3 years now.....even got 09 Invaders 171 from REI outlet online last year for $150. Think I am up to like maybe $500 total over 3 years of having brand new skis every season..
Buying $450+ brand new planks every year starts to seem kinda pointless when an average park skier can trash a pair in less then year easily

I remember how disgusted I was by this thread weeks ago. As it turns out, I'm just as disgusted.
All of you kids who take stock of other people's equipment and/or trick repertoires are just doing it wrong.
Stop standing at the top of the park and sizing everyone up. You aren't cool because you can spin more than the next guy or because you have more stickers on your helmet. Nor are you cool or more "core" because you're riding busted up shit or shit that you personally bought.
Why are white people so sensitive about being perceived as spoiled/well off? White guilt? The reality is that most people who ski "seriously" are fairly well off financially as it's a relatively expensive sport. I'm pumped that people outside of the little overly self-important "newschool" jerk off circle are buying skis made by a great company like LINE.
Here's a thought:
Why not approach the kid(s) and explain that rolling over lips, and jumping off of the side of a rail lip damages the feature and makes it harder for people to hit them? Then, offer to take a few laps with him and give him some pointers on popping or sliding rails.
Well, that or continue to be a judgmental tool and make threads about "gapers".

i was at revlestoke mountain resort. ( no park) and it was this huge ass ski race comp. and i am on the chairlift. i look down. there is this racer. he puts on like 4 tall tees, all diffenet legnths, (layers) like red, green, blue and yellow, and he sagged his pants, so much so he couldnt ski, and switched into his afterbangs. ( i didnt see him put all this on while i was going up the chair, i saw him later also)

ohemgee he was the koolezt kid evaa!

this one kid at my mountain got all brand new LINE gear. afterbangs, skied in the LINE static, LINE poles, brand new pants, full tilts, t-halls oakley's, jesters and new gloves. and the kid fucking sucks at park and will maybe do a 3. and i cant remember if this kid does it or not, but when i see people with helmets covered in stickers of companies, and they don't own a single item from them always makes me laugh. that and when the helmet is covered in nothing but zumiez stickers.

Skipping a feature does NOT make you a gaper. At hood i saw John Spriggs, i had high expectations but he just straight aired a jump and skipped most features. It wasnt his first run or anything either. But John Spriggs does not suck at skiing.

my good friend has brand new k2 extremes, new idk what boots, and jesters. He skied them 3 times this year, everytime i dragged him off his fat ass to go skiing. Billy if you see this. You need to go everyweekend next year. On a 5 foot pow day Cod isn't more important than skiing

i really don't care how people dress if they are modest and trying to progress themselves
pisses me off when people act gang and roll through the park missing everything
i hate when people use jumps as rollers and hate when people use a rail's jump as a big air jump and go off the side
grrrrrrr

I have a shit load of sticker on my helmet for stuff I don't own. I don't care. I support all the companies whose stickers I have on my helmet. I don't own a Rime Knit, but I have a sticker on my helmet. I have a Trew sticker but rock Orage. I have a Dynastar but rock line. Who cares, how do you know they don't have multiple brands that they don't always wear?

I do get a lol out of Zumiez stickers.

im not going to lie, ski school through the park is annoying as shit. This guy was trying to teach his 4 year old kids how to slid a box and if you went past him too fast he would freak.

When I looked at this thread, I thought that the title was just misleading, as I see the OP, I realize that you are an idiot.

You think that's a story?

Check this.

I was shredding around Blackcomb on a park day. I see a Japanese guy and his girlfriend skiing around. The guy had a full Magic suit, nice Armada's, and Oakley Crowbars. His girlfriend had the red and white Dumont suit, Armada's, and Oakley's as well. Wanna hear the funny part? They sucked. They french fried when they should have pizza'd. It was quite funny.

i hate when people go straight to the park. They don't bother with being an actual good skier. They want to do k-feds and afterbang. "2 feet of pow? softer landings in the park!"

some kid had masterminds with griffins scott team edion poles booters saga tuxedo jacket and varcity pants, wasnt even hitting the smallest jumps in the park and didnt hit any rails

You do know Masterminds are a price point ski right? And Griffons aren't that good, not really a "poser" setup if you ask me.

this past year i decided to use some rear-entry old ass boots that were my neighbors dads just to mess around on the backyard rail, as i came down to land the back heel part snapped off, and also the front toe piece snapped off. but yes there a so many kids like this everywhere, as long as their parents will pay they will get the best gear and put it to waste.

my mountain has hundreds of asians taht role throught the park and they like to sit right on teh landing of the only jump (really bad snow year)

Great thread. Lets all hate on kids who are just getting into the sport that arent as good as any of us. atleast they are having fun, thats the most important part.
