Kid with afterbangs

I saw a kid with brand new after bangs in the park yesterday and was rockin the old 70s boots that open in the back

all he did was roll over the lips with his other gaper friend

any1 else have ppl like that in their park that just tick u off
 
120lbs kid that blew out his knee last year doing a 1 out of some trees got 189 bents and fks185, im just waiting till he dies on them
 
I'll have to admit. I rocked rear entry boots last year. I outgrew my Salomon boots and couldn't afford a new pair so I rocked a 20 dollar pair of rears last year. They were comfortable but had no support at all.
 
there was a kid like that but he fell on the lip for the rail, had a hockey helmet, swim goggles, and J.O. pros
 
maybe he didnt want to intimidate his girlfriend? there could be a number of reasons he wasnt doing anything. Rear entry boots are rare, but it doesnt necessarily mean they are a gaper.

still, i could have no idea what he was like.

In my opinion it just bugs me when kids can afford things they dont necessarily need. I know a kid who bought EP pros with jesters and he skis boreal and MAYBE MAYBE squaw. He will get to use them maybe 2 days this year.
 
It is annoying, but thats what happens as something gets popular, you get the "posers" who buy stuff that they see the pros wear cuz they thik its cool. It already happened to skateboarding and snowboarding. Skiing is the next "cool" thing. Its bound to happen and its great for the industry./end thread
 
holy crap... i dont even care about him blowing his knee out with a 1 last year or how gaper he is....12 lbs and riding on fks 185 is trouble looking to happen
 
racer kids with invaders mounted at 10cm behind center dominate my mountain. that and Asians in rental gear that roll through the parks in groups of 40+

 
i hate rich kids with better setups and outerwear when they ski 4 times a season. my friend has full tilts and hellbents with air raid pants and a red saga jacket. he skied twice the whole freaking year. what the fuck!?
 
ughhhhhhhhh gotta story

so i was getting ready and i see a guy put on a g-suit. brand new all nice and clean. usually when you see g-suit you accpect a little bit. i get to the top of the lift and ski to the park. I go first and do a switch up on a box just for like a warm up and watch for him to go down. he rides on the box, 50-50s it, slips out and falls. this kid was like 16 with brand new salomons with sth 14's. i was an angry man!
 
who gives a fuck. either 1. the kid is spoiled rotten and is stoked on his gear, got afterbangs which is just more money into the industry, or 2. he saw an add for them, was stoked on em, worked his ass off for them and is just learning.
bottom line, they are HIS skis so let him do whatever he wants with him. if it makes him happy to go over the rollers all day long, so be it. he doesnt have to be throwing pretzel 4s and double cork 14s in order to own afterbangs...besides its a price point ski anyways.

Why all the hate about what gear people have man? I hate it when people hate on me for what gear I have in the Park. Maybe I actually LIKE to wear fulltilts, Afterbangs, Marker Griffons, Saga pants, Oakley Air raid Jacket, Splices, and scott team issue poles. Its just how I am so cool it.

Im still learning so i like to just do little spread eagles or 180s off of the jumps onto rails. My new afterbangs are really good at spins.

when i get hate i just switch out my gear for my other set: SPK pro models, marker jesters, salomon suspects, XL saga suit, and joystick poles. oh and empire gloves.

im about 5-11 and my 179 bents are BEASTS. (were talking as tall, a hair taller than me)

not to mention the pure idiocy of someone like that riding 185s.

anywho i always LOLz when i see people on nice / pretty nice park skis with marker m11s. LOLZ!

I love it when u see kids mean mugging people in front of the lodge looking all gangster and then their mom pulls up in a mini van and they still try to act gangster when they get in! haha
 
you never actually know people. i've dislocated both my shoulders this season multiple times and they come out really easy. i still ski park but if i dont want to hit a feature I DONT HAVE TO HIT A FUCKING FEATURE.
 
i ride afterbangs and I am not all that good at skiing park.. so i guess i am just the scum of the earth because i worked hard over the summer to afford the skis I wanted. Quit being so concerned about what others are doing in the park and worry about yourself more.
 
holy shit dude i know what you mean, i had an asian invasion at my mountain over xmas break
 
seriously what the fuck do they think they are doing, skiing on twintips and not being like everyone on NS, and not being able to pretzel rails and throw down dub corks
