Kid on my dorm floor...could he get in legal trouble??

alright so there is this kid on my floor who is kinda a wierd large deuchey kiddd and he has this check book...he says he got this book from a restaurant he worked for where he was the manager...he used the checks there for supplies and ingredients and all the checks were in his name...soooo the restaurant went under and lost all their money...he was left out to dry without being paid a few paychecks...he still had this checkbook so a few weeks ago he started using it to buy rediculous shit...he bought a 57 inch flatscreen tv, bluray system with surround sound for like 700, and then he bought 2 itouches for two kids and a router for the hall...he cant take any money out of the account and he can only use the checks...what the fuck is he doing here?? could he be destroyed by the legal system cause shouldnt the account be frozen...last week he got a notice saying it was under 5,000...how much shit could he get in and what kind of shit....sorry if its helter skelter this is the third fuckin time ive written this cause i keep screwing up and posting when i have no internet!!!
any thoughts people???
 
kids a dumbass. Does he think it won't be investigated? i don't know my law all that much, but i'd say there has definetly got to be some consiquence they can slap him with.
 
Agreed, make him buy you a bunch of nice shit and tell the cops (if they ask) the stuff was a present from a recently deceased relative. He's for sure going to prison though.
 
yup, i woulld say he could get fucked by the long dick of the law. i would even venture as far as to say that the kids he bought shit for could probably face legal problems too (they probably wont but they could)

Passing bad check is against the law. period.

He will have to pay the money back eventually, and probably a lot more

yahhh ive talked to them and they're not gonna keep the stuff, they gave it back today...i would have him buy me shit hahaha but i dont want to be an accessory or something

if its a blank check signed by the company its just like coming across one i thought, i dont think you can get in that much legal trouble since its the companys fault for trusting him with a check book, he could only get in trouble with the company, but in the big picture he would probably end up getting sued and shit
 
he cant do that because that illegal to haha. buying things that you know are stolen is a crime aswell.
 
Grand Larceny is a class B felony....That's some serious shit we're talking and usually holds a sentance of like 5-25 years. This kids an idiot, seriously, a fucking idiot.

Also, usually they will charge him with EACH item he bought...anything over 1000 is grand larceny, anything under is petit....So kids' looking at mad counts of larceny and fraud
 
haha you probably couldnt even fit a 57 inch into those dorms, it looks more like a prison or mental hospital in there.
 
well, that is a more serious degree of fraud... if he gets caught then he will be lucky to just get a 6 figure fine and not sent to jail.
 
don't listen to other kids in this thread. do not get involved with that kid. He sounds like a complete dumbfuck. That kid is in for some massive fines and some jail time. I would do my best to avoid that kid and not get involved because who know you and your buddies could end up in court with him
 
hahaha yahhh i live in the fuckin hood manggg...haha its actually not bad, we got a sick bong tent...kids name is Eric S...he's a big how should i say lumpy kid haha...im def. not gona get involved in it at all, shits gonna go maddd south frm here haha...its also not just a blank check...its his name on the checks
 
i really feel pretty bad for this kid. mostly because he is truely and utterly fucked for the next couple of years at least
 
for real? what a dumbfuck there is no chance of him getting away with that if his name is on the checks. its amazing how dumb kids are
 
ya, as soon as the banks statements come in for the period their account us to be, they will trace where the checks were, look at video or look at who had access and this guy is totally fucked, thats fraud, theft and recieving stolen merchandise
