First you don't really expect your kid to stab you and second you don't really expect your kid to stab you.

Where the wound were and how major makes a huge difference. Getting stabbed once can fuck you up to where you can't really fight back or kill you.

Also there was probably shock when his kid was stabbing him.

A 16 year old isn't exactly a "lil boy".

It's not like it was a 4 year old with a pair of safety scissors. But of course be a big man and talk about how hypothetically badass you would have been.

Oh shit I mis-read the article, thought he was 10, my bad.

Sixteen makes a huge difference. But it seems he was stabbed and then beaten with the crowbar for quite a bit and managed to make it to and die in the hospital. (Thx for the big man part ;] hehe )
