KId at my school with jibberish

There is this kid at my school who hardly even skis and when he does, he sucks really bad. the last few days he has been wearing jibberish hoodies and shirts. I thought this was kinda funny but really stupid. are there people that you know who are kind of posers like this?
 
So your raggin on a kid for supporting one of the best retail stores in the industry? maybe he went to jibs and was like this shit looks ill i like the style looks dope... come on man, its ski time focus on your passion.
 
im not ragging on him at all. dont get me wrong. i thought it was just kind of funny that he had it because he doesn't really even ski. i think its sick
 
i know he said it in a way that came off as kinda assholeish and judgemental but i know wheres he comin from. kinda like those kids that wear all the product that would relate them to or make them look like they are someone who is hardcore into that sport when they really just do it for the appeal and dont know too much. the people who pose and buy the gear and claim they are better than you when they cant back it up, thats the real shitttty deal. who really cares if that guy sucks at skiing, if he is buying jibberish shit then he is supporting a company that is hooked in with skiing and there's nothing wrong with that. as long as he doesnt try to act like a bigshot he shouldnt worry you too much

jiberish isnt a store, it's a brand. though jiberish aims to spread beyond the core ski industry into modern fashion to an extent, so people who may not be avid skiers supporting them isn't a bad thing.
 
Let people wear what they want... Regardless of their skill level it really doesn't matter. Just because the kid is wearing Jiberish and doesn't ski often or may not be the best skier doesn't make him a poser at all, it's not like there's a qualification for wearing a specific type of clothing.
 
You know, it's good that he at least skis. If he can't help skiing by his abilities and such he can help it by being the consumer. If he doesn't advertise that he thinks he's hardcore it should be fine. Jiberish is dope and not many people wear it, so if it's only you and him it doesn't matter.
I hear where you're coming from though, I've seen someone in an armada tee, and I expected him to be a skier, so I went and talked to him, and he's like, "no I don't ski, I skied once in grade 7."He can wear it, but it was kind of a let down.

there is this kid at my school who is a huge gaper, and he saw the stickers i had on my binder and locker, so he decided he wanted them and started emailing companies and send envelopes and stuff...i laughed super hard when he told me
 
i didnt read all the posts, but this isn't a bad thing, he bought jibberish and he's supporting a small company which is rad, just beacause he can't ski doesn't mean he cant wear some sick looking clothing...how much money have you pumped into the ski industry lately?

funny how everyone is freaking out. The main reason everone loves jiberish is because...... tom wallisch. Once tom wallisch got sponsored by amplid.... omg amplid is sooo kewl. Now sweet protection... omg tom wallisch sweet protection i want some. No hate to tom, its just a little obsessive how much most people on here buy stuff because of tom wallisch. If jiberish was simon dumonts company, everyone would be like wow its so gay.
 
I've loved Jibberish since the craig coker days...jibberish has some nice stuff, empire...not so much...
 
how does wearing Jiberish and not being a good skier make you a poser? what now only good skiers can wear Jiberish? hell you can't even spell Jiberish right and you're calling people posers for wearing it.

Yeah, they have a great team, but that is also part of who they are. Their clothes sell in skate stores and hiphop boutiques that have nothing to do with skiing, so people are buying their stuff that don't ski or snowboard. That brings more attention to our sport which is good. The fact that they are trying to bring attention to skiing proactively is really cool imo. Not to mention the fact that we also like Jiberish's clothes because they are the only company rooted in skiing that makes cool shit. Nobody, and I mean, nobody in our sport makes clothes like them. Their clothes are dope regardless of their affilation with skiing.
 
i wear skate shirts that i get from salvation army for 2 bucks even though i barely skate... i guess im a poser. but hey, theyre cheap and comfy so whatever. hahahah
 
I'm pretty sure that the only store is in boulder. And even if they did/do sell stuff in shops that have nothing to do with skiing, how would that bring attention to our sport? They sell nothing that has to do with skiing (skis, outerwear, ect.) They only sell cloths. The only relation they have with skiing is people they sponsor. And dont get me wrong, jiberish has some really cool designs, but they arn't the only ones. look at Koncept tall ts
