KFC's "Double Down"

lol that was beef. im assuming you watched food inc. too? i COULD be wrong, but im almost positive that the chicken comes from on animal. the whole point behind the beef one was the cows were processed in mass quantities making it easier, cheaper, and more efficient to just not separate them and grind them up all together. and it actually makes sense when you think about it, because you actually notice the different "strands" (i guess that gets my point across) of beef in the patty

I'm still human, and you can call me out if you'd like. No worries. I'm not gonna go banning you for voicing your knowledge.

Those patties on the outside of the bacon and cheese, this is what they are:

You can say the cows used for McD's are 100% beef, and that can be a correct statement. But it isn't 100% beef the way beef is supposed to be raised. They are cows that are piled together and fed corn, rather than the grass they are meant to eat. They walk around on their own feces. They are simply being 'produced' the wrong way. It shouldn't be like this, and we shouldn't be eating beef/chicken/pork like this. And don't act like they don't add a bunch of additives to it. I've watched and researched more then Food Inc. The food industry disgusts me.

ok i completely agree with you on that note. i cant say my knowledge on food processing goes much farther then what is explained in Food inc. but even after watching that movie, i am disgusted. im not trying to argue that mcdonalds is in any way good for you, or even more healthy then a super market, just saying the beef is of higher "quality" but that word can mean a lot of things in this day and age...

and i missed this how? fuck me

have you seen that show about the birtish (i think) chef who travels around educating people. and he pretty much takes all the shit of a chicked, or scraps, cuts them up, fries them, breads them, and says this is the modern day chicken nugget? disgusting

haha yeah. its basically the same idea as a hot dog, but chicken haha.

but im pretty sure KFC's fried chicken is actual hunks of chicken meat, not the ground up junk. so the question is just, are those chicken buns on the top and bottom patties? or not.

regardless, im not eating it hahaha

yea Mcd's uses 100% beef haha. its probably the lowest amount allowed by law - like 65/35 or some shit just ground up really really good so its smooth and has the texture of better quality beef. you can buy 70/30 beef at supermarkets but thats as low as they sell unless youre at an actual butcher. even the 70/30 stuff you can tell has lots of bones and fat material in it. same with Mcd's only its ground up better.

got one for lunch and it's so fucking delicious. i nearly went back and got another one but i didn't have the time.

FIRST REVIEW:

The problem is that I think the one I had was prepared very badly. The breading on my two pieces of chicken kept slipping off and breaking and whatnot, so that sucked.

The whole thing is so fucking sloppy and disgusting and hard to hold and eat. Basically all the ingredients kept falling apart, the square cheese did not fit on the oval sandwich and the bacon all came out on the first bite.

Then your basically eating two pieces of slimy, breadless chicken with sauce (very bland, tastes like mayo) and cheese in between. The whole thing was very hard to hold and bite. The sauce makes the chickens slip apart.

The good thing was that it is a SHITLOAD of chicken, like waaay more chicken (or meat for that matter) than any other fastfood thing. Which is good if your cutting carbs and want more protein.

I bet its pretty healthy if you don't get the sauce and you can get it grilled if you don't want the fat the comes from frying it.

To sum it up, it looks better on paper than in my hand.

I got it, just happened to be out to get some food and remember this when i was passing a KFC, needless to day i was disappointed. It tasted good, super salty, but it was sloppy as shit, had to wipe off my hands every time i put it down to touch anything. I didn't hate it, but i probably wouldn't buy it again.

Minus one piece of chicken and throw it on a bun and id be real stoked on it.

I got one today! It was good, but like everyone else said, it was really messy and hard to eat. I'll probably get another one when I'm drunk.

I was there to get one when they unlocked the door. Probably the first one in America, besides test market. It was greasy, yes, so get napkins, but it was sooooo good. I'd have one any day. Theres no way you can prepare for the amount of meat you get on that first bite. Its amazing

complete shit. i threw it away halfway through. couldnt handle how damn salty it was, or how messy it was. poorly made. 3/10 rating from me.

tried it today and liked it quite a bit, though i could feel my heart slowing as i ate it

the people that complained it was messy, it didnt come with a wax paper wrapper?

mine did, and the mess stayed inside

had my first one today (original recipe) and it was pretty good. definitely had some grease on it and although it was in a wrapper i found it hard to fit in my mouth easily, chicken as a bun is less workable than bread as a bun. needless to say, i'm sure it won't be my last

it's not coming to Canada :(
we don't get to join in the obesity funness cuz we're all like "healthy" 'n' shit. I know, I'm just as disappointed as you.

but if it had a bun then it would just be a snacker with cheese and bacon instead of lettuce

but got one last night and it was pretty deff isnt something i would get everytime i go
