Keystone had the worst jumps out of the summit county resorts except for probably A Basin. Yes they did have some ridiculous rails and night riding, but their jumps were terrible. Its a decent spot if my friends don't feel like driving me to breck or vail.

 
the quality of the jumps and the pipe was soooo shity! the amount of rails that they had didnt even come close to makeing up for the shity-ness of everything else. i hit the pipe there once last season and it seemed like it hadent been groomed in a week or more, there were huge craters half way up the walls. deffinatly not the place to go if you want park, go to breck.

I honestly thought its only good quality was how fast it made you improve at rails, in any one run i could hit up to 6 rails all different

I rode keystone almost exclusively last year from open to close I thought it was best all around mountain the two top booters did suck but the bottom 2 and boxes (8) and nat. terrain kicked ass I think it is just cause I know every inch of that resort only. Park and midmountain (montezuma) lifts perfect for 30 runs a day. O yea open til 8 or 9 = 12 hours skiing

Keystone is good, but not great. The park isn't much compared to other nearby places but I like the actual mountain better than Breck. It's nice to go there at night after spending the day at anther area.

Permante1600 sums it up! Craters/Bomb holes in the landings. Its a matter of moving the feature to left or right 2 or 3 feet...things would be killer.

I am exicted what Julian and the crew have up their sleeves for this year.

In the mean time, check out the Mtn Bike Park...its so good.

Honestly If you want my adivce walk over to freeway art BRek. There Park is smaller but everything is almost PERFECT put up more jumps rangin from 25-35. Tha would have been nice last year. Also make it eaiser to get into pipe. Maintenace though is key, the park itself had great ideas.

yeah brek dominates but i think natural terrain kicks ass also and keystone has got it as well. keystone's pipe wasnt that bad if your from the east. my pipe is a joke, its a sheet of ice and is always open, but no one is on it. like one week a year its decent

all im saying is if your not worried about breaking some bones due to poorly maintained shit then hit up keystone, otherwise check out breck. i just remembered while skiing at keystone during spring break that the second set of jumps didnt even have a landing. the side of the pile of snow that made up the jump/landing cut in from the left and simply wasnt there on the left jump. the list goes on.

i went to breck and keystone spring break weekend. at breck, i was too pussy to hit the big jumps, being from wisconsin. i just tickled the flat rail/ wall box like a little bitch. at keystone i suckled the jumps doing cute lil' spins. i just wasnt doing good that week.

what flat rail/wall box are you talking about? my fav at breck last season was the banked C-rail that was at the bottom of the pipe. but then they took it out!!!!!

at the top by the flat down there was a flat rail. that was the flat rail. the wall box was that wallride type box thing with the sparkles and dancing.

I really liked it but alot of the rails seemed to be too big like the double house or the Bar-B-Que rail. I learned noseslides there but I didn't hit too many rails.

perm- I agree breck's freeway park is better than keystone better maintained and better features, the t bar kicks ass and I usually spend most of my time there I was saying it is unusual that I spend most of my season at keystone but thats the way it was, hopefully I'll see more beaver vail in the future

some of the rails there are soooo crazy. i kept hitting this one jump in the so called beginner park, it was good jump. it is crowded there and a lot of boarders but it is nice since there is a seperate chair just for the park. most of the rails are too much for me, but since my uncle owns a restaraunt in river run, it works for me. free food and good skiing.

but im from michigan so what do i know about mountain skiing. also i thought abasins park was pretty nice as well

abasin's park was perfect for me both rails and jumps and they had some form of a park from day 1 oct13th to close june13. For a full month abasin was the only thing open except whistler and hood.

Keystones rails were fun but the jumps weren't that great. I didn't like the flow of the park either. They should add more well maintained jumps.

 
I was disappointed with it this year. I went in feb and the snow sucked. but the whole state had a shitty season i guess. It had a shitload of bumps though.

i went during spring break and there was awesome rails but only around 4 jumps. i would say just add in a couple more jumps and make sure the rails actually have jumps onto them. because near the end of the day on a couple of the rails the jumps were just worn down and i suck at ollies and so i had a bit of truble getting on. so better maintence and more jump selection. but really innovative rails and really fun to ski

i think they should just make the middle lane all jumps, keep the first 2 they had last year then instead of the bbq rail add another jump there and then one after that etc then put the rails in other places.

 
I was stuck in keystone for the marck 03 blizzard 41 inches constant snowfall over 3 and a half days it was epic the best days of my life and I don't expect to have days that good again but I hope so.

I-70 was shut down and keystone ran the cat up the north and south bowl for 300 lucky people, my crew went twice every day we were waiting at outback express before it opened there must have been 200 people there tops.

Since then keystone has been my home mountain I still run lines from that day trying for the same feeling there are so many stashes there it's rediculous they just need shacks, a ns shack would be dope.

david that is why they start the park with a 65 footer straight into a 55 footer and then they get smaller on the way down, this is kind of the opposite layout, when filming you would probably want small to big to bigger to biggest but this is to deter retards away so they don't even think about it.

it is a serious problem in the minipark though, for me I rip through feature to feature tricking everything in the mini and am slow and methodical hiking and working in the big park. I just want one good rip line through the mini top to bottom but there are too many 6 year olds everywhere.

check out the bike park in the summer it is sick. carefull though; the quater pipe teter totor thing crushed me and gave me 75 stiches on my back and broke my arm.

 
i heard a rumor that copper may make a seperate park with a special pass to enter. they would still also have a beginner and mini park for other people, but this will help keep the families and their 5-year-olds out of the good park and off of the rail 'jumps' as they like to call them. however, this plan is just a rumor as of now, and if followed through with it wouldn't be for a few years.

I went last year for winter break, the quality of the jumps arent too bad, but is way too fucking crowded in the rails to make up for that. I didnt hit the pipe because it was fuckin covered in ice, no good, overall, its way cool though
