how good are the trees at keystone? i was there this weekend and they looked pretty good but i didnt want to go through them and ruin my skis

Depends on where you are...some of them are great, some are nasty.

Find some with mostly northern exposure and you'll be good to go.

Wolverine is a sick run if you get pow. otherwise it can get kinda mogul-y and even icy, but thats they way it goes with trees. if there is powder go, if not dont.

they were pretty sweet in the outback

but a little iffy everywhere else

but good powder at keystone this weekend

i ducked in some trees last thursday and it was kinda sketchy. lots of fallen down trees and stumps. but this was of course lower mountain since that is all they had open.

everything on the front side had rocks and stumps under it. stay on the main runs, i got two nasty gouges in my new PEs because of it.

saturday was great the outback opened with 4-6 in the trees, can't believe you missed it cause you didn't want to scratch your skis. I hit a couple things, not a scratch. Right side was better than wolverine that day. Didn't even see the park just pow until I couldn't take it and went home.

Don't ski the trees on the frontside! I FUCKED my ARV's up on some hidden rocks. And right after that, I was skiing along in the pow and my ski got caught under a log. I thought my leg was gonna get ripped out of the socket.

are you a serious? dude keystone goes thru there tree's and take shit out to make for safer skiing, the glades their are sick right off the top of dercum....tons of the tree's there are fun....maybe u should actually try before u say something like that

r u serious??? if you had to choose between keystone trees and vail or winter park trees, would you really pick keystone. dont get me wrong, i wasnt tryin to bash keystone, but trees? i guess there's good stuff under the outpost and in the outback, but that gets old quick for me and everyone i ski with. there are simply better tree skiing areas at other resorts.

he's right! you do change your mind! i never said i would chose it over vail or winter park, i just said it was good skiing when you were "BASHING" on it...dont put words in my mouth

actually, i didnt change my mind, i simply acknowledged that maybe keystone didn't deserve the shit that i gave it. you two need to chill the fuck out.

i am chilled out...i'm sort of thinking that since your using the big curse words, that maybe you should chill...i think anywhere that has snow, and tree's that are skiable should get recognition :)

I spent the whole day in the trees last weekend. It was great so much pow everywhere. It was some of the best skiing ever.

All i've been doin lately is the trees at keystone....hiked to the coal mine in the north bowl yesterday still was hitting fresh pow....keystone has some of the most diverse terrain out there breck is too flat a-basin too small (except the east wall love that in the spring)...keystone has great trees if youre willing to hike but actually there was some really nice stuff under montezuma last weekend anyway the trees really are nice at keystone
