Keystone Rant!!!!!!!

im sick of wallrides! it just pisses me off then instead of putting in rails, the new park manager puts up a million wallrides. enough already! and also, stop bunching features together, it destroys the flow. perfect example is that the landing of the up box is partially in the transition for the BBQ rail. if they spread that out they might actually be able to build a decent lip for the BBQ and a longer landing for the up. and stop putting stuff on I70 too, its annoying to skip the jumps just to hit those features. put stuff after the big jump line instead. im done.

on a positive note, both jump lines are amazing this year.

damn what a cry baby...its all shreddy so ......the jib factor is mad fun...it will change....you should just pack it up and go home.......

are you seriuous? You ride keystone and you complain about your park? You're like a gzillionaire who say that he doesn't have enough money

I prefer wallrides to a flat rail, but they just need bigger ones. And it is Keystone's lazy park crew's fault. We get it, you love smoking weed in your shack, that should make raking fun, but I guess not.

I understand your point but keep in mind you still have a btter park then 99% of the rest of the ski resorts in the world.

i wouldnt necessarily complain about the whole entire park, but you do have a good point, there are like wall rides everywhere you go! seems like atleast 1 inbetween ever 2 features!

Whoa whoa whoa, just because keystone has a fantastic park (and they do), people should really stop getting so fucking complacent; there is always room for ANY park to improve. If it is so good, why not make it even better?

For some reason, I get pissed when people really have no ambition to try to improve parks just because they see it as "good enough" or some horse shit like that, or just because it is better than what others might have.

Ya that's why I don't know why everyone goes nuts over keystone. They have goood jumps but the rest of the park is retarded. Breck is better all around

Yea. I wish the up-flat-down box on the skier's left lane was a little further down the hill so it would be easier to get enough speed. Meh oh well.

But, seriously, why are we complaining? I flippin' love Keystone's park. And, they changing things up which is cool.

oh, poor me! my park has too many amazing features and i can't hit all of them and be bored after a single run! and i have the best jump lines in the country! boohoo!

im sorry, but what the fuck is wrong with you, sure any park cant be perfect but if you cant be happy with keystones park maybe you can come ski at my resort. where starting this year they banned jumps for LIFE and the rail setup has been the same since the beginning of decmember

For all you people crying about the park....

...or i could keep skiing it 4 days a week, lol. you and a few others are missing my point, i do love the park, but instead of adding more wallrides they need to put in rails, like they had last year. also, they seem to instead of putting in more rails (they have tons of unused ones), they just more them around. every park can improve.

Just because its keystone doesnt mean there isnt room for improvement....but instead of crying on an online forum that no one on the park crew will read, go talk to to the park crew when theyre raking and offer some input on the flow. This isn't going to help, and quite frankly, makes you sound spiled.

dude quit bitching. ski smuggs park all year and im sure theres plenty of you guys that have a worse park than smuggs out there. 2 jumps thats all and if you hit them you can only hit 2 rails.

no flow. such small space.

you have it nice.

i only hit two rails if i hit the big jump line, lol, that's my point, they have so much potential that's not being used.

really? have you tried talkin to jim, he said he gets to give quite a bit of input, hes a real cool guy too, very approachable.

Jarron is dope though, readiculous style.

i do kind of agree with you about how cramped the BBQ rail, up box, and wall ride are in that area. its a little sketchy but it still works. and yea the lip for the BBQ rail is pretty shitty but again, it still works.

i also agree with julie about speed for the battleship box. and the flat down box after that is pretty sketch too, the skirting is stickin out wicked far.

but...

its fuckin keystone. soooo dope. jump line is insane, the rails they got up are perfect. where else would you want to be on a sunny day? that place is awesome.

ruts indeed! Also I kind of have to agree with the thread starter, i slide left foot forward and did fs 270 out, and almost skied backwards right into lip for the bbq rail last weekend, i mean the park is amazing, jumps are so sick, and the rails are crazy too, but they should have made the landing a bit bigger for the up box

y r u complaining aobut having to much, if i was in ur shoes i'd be popin one everytime i went through that park.

lol true, but when i was there i skied the keystone night park one night and there were some SERIOUS ruts, cuz they dont groom the park before night riding but it was pretty fuckin big/deep

jim's the other skier right? guess i could talk both again, they didn't have any flat rails for awhile, and we said something to them and now theres a couple.

For real though, I'm from the East Coast (NY) and when I went out to Colorado for break, all I did was ski Keystone, and it was super super fucking sick, don't get me wrong, but they do have way too many wallrides... I was really disappointed in the lack of rails. The big jump line was fucking amazing though, and made up for everything else.

hahahaha

to me keystone is good for a place to shred at night or late afternoon but i prefer breck overall

That about sums it up. The picture of the old rail section on the park update page makes me salivate.

I just wish there was a way to do quick laps at Breckenridge... it would be the best setup in the world, no doubt.

whatever just be glad they are putting up more features and using more of their space. i dont like some of the features either but im stoked they are trying different things

yeah dude that chair line is slow as balls and waaaay to big for what it acces's. its a slow 2 person chair that only acces's green runs, some easy blues and a crazy nice park. they should either make it faster or not have like 80 gapers wanting to get on it.

I'm reasonably certain that the park crew would indeed not appreciate some random kid trying to put up features in the park. Just to clarify.

I feel ya. They could use the area below the big jump line a lot better. The up box's gap to the landing is basically on the take off for the bbq rail. It would be sick if they could line up the up box into the bbq rail with enough room to hit both in the same run. Other than that I have no complaints on the park, its so perfect.

you all need to shut it. He is making a good point. Yeah Keystone is the shit, but it would be ten times better if they built their stuff with a plan. Its like putting 10s on your benz, yeah its a benz, but shit put some 22s on that whip.

while they should put up some of those rails they have certainly below the big line i too like the wallrides and what can u expect from a park manager that has taken alot from big bear
