Keystone Breck or Copper?

it has its good days. Look at the snowfall its almost equal to breck, you just need to know where to go and don't forget about tucker

breck if you want to waste your day standing in linescopper if you want to buy a whole seperate passkeystone if you want to squeeze the most out of your precious ski day

just dont like copper because it feels like you ride the lifts more than you ski most of the time

Breck used to be the jam until they started charging for parking and became a mini Vail that could care less about locals (crowds, shityt employees, etc.)

Keystone for park and free parking nothing else.

WP/MJ is my jam though as it still feels like a locals mountain.

either pay off a vail shuttle from summit for 5 bucks. or just park at a gas station and walk. it's worth it.

If you get there before 8-9 in the morning, there's lots of free parking around Vail. Just have to know where it is.

this. they fill up faster than any other parking lots in the world though so gotta be fast and early.

Pretty much what everyone said.

Breck if you want to wait in lines for mediocre skiing (in bounds) and an amazing park. Parking is a bitch too.

Key for easy access free parking, a great park, and not much else.

Copper for pretty easy parking (really easy if you know what you're doing) and fun terrain. Park is alright but I'm glad it's not their biggest attraction.

Obviously the real discussion here is Super Pass vs Epic/Locals Pass. I like the Super Pass Plus because after two years of skiing with the Colorado Pass (now Locals Pass) I realized it is rarely worth it to ski Breck or Key due to crowds and lack of terrain. A Bay, Vail, and Beaver Creek are all sick for fun terrain but the latter two are too far away from Denver to ski every weekend. Between Copper and WP I get everything I could ask for and more. Both areas have great all mountain terrain. Being from VT I appreciate good woods and Mary Jane has some of the best woods I've ever skied in bounds any where, period. Overall you can't go wrong with your decision if you're in Grand County or Summit County. Western/Southwestern CO has incredible terrain if you ever get a chance to visit or live there as well.

Copper you can get a buy one get one free pass from wells fargo in frisco if you open an account so it comes out to to like 220 for a season pass. And to everyone saying keystone... Copper has the infamous keystone park manager now because Key's trying to down grade and copper is on the way up.Breack kinda sucks the gaper lift is also the park lift and the whole mountain is packed with gapers from christmas- april. Copper there is barely ever lift lines after the grandprix and racers are gone.

Breck when it's not too busy... if not Keystone or Vail for sure. Never been to Copper, I need to check it out this winter.

wow haha you guys need to figure your shit out at breck. I can lap park lane and wait barely 3 minutes during Christmas break. I guess the key to breck is knowing the mountain like the back of your hand. But really if you are new to the summit area hit up keystone. their rails are stellar their jumps are OK the rest of the mountain is decent. copper is fun for powder but i cant really say as i have learned copper too well so i am unsure what else it is prime for.

yup haha granted getting from it to the top of park lane is mildly terrifying for a mountain goat but it makes it so crowds are a worry of the past

One thing to keep in mind is that Keystone's Park Manager for the last couple years is now the Parks and Pipe Manager at Copper. Be ready for a major change with Terrain Parks at Copper this season.

The mountain manager at key confirmed that they are putting more resources in to a51 than ever this year, so this is not true. Though copper does now have the park manager, its not like key is going to blow this year.

And yes, its true, if you know whats up, you can get 5 minute laps at breck any day of the year. You just need to know whats up, and more importantly, how to traverse.

^but Breck. Unbeatable quality in park.

The crowds will be sending me to Copper regularly, so we'll see what they come up with..

All hail the savior of Copper
