Keynote Skier Thoughts

Some people develop such strong opinions on these movies after watching them like what...twice? Three Times? I definitely expect to watch a movie ten times that amount at least. Watched it twice now and I feel like I still have no idea what the fuck is even going on in half of the tricks

I haven't seen the movie yet but I felt like it could have been cut down, like 3 minutes of it was filler. The editing was a bit much but bdog has a cool style. I can't believe how much weed he was smoking in the movie... not a good influence at all. Overall 6.9/10. I can't wait to watch it.

I'm still not a fan of his editing, and I wasn't the first time I saw it. That being said, he fucking kills it.

I have to say even though keynote skier was amazing, it was so much more amazing in person. Seeing it on the inspired tour with Phil in the room made it so much more.. Real. Keep in mind oil and water wasn't even out yet so at the time for those who saw it on the tour it was all new. I think no matter what it was petty banger

Yeah man the tour vibe was incredible.

I liked the mix of bc shots in there with his grimy street segments. That 180 off of that one cliff was massive and if that doesn't get you hyped as hell then I have no words for you

No other edit this season has compared to what bdog just dropped. Every shot was a banger even if it was some of the same shots from oil and water. Still best i have seen this season hands down

Yeah not many skiers can do a 50 foot nollie 180 off a cliff...or even have the balls to do so. One of my favorite shots for sure.

I mean basically everying was a balls out nollie and basically everything was pressed out super hard as well... like those things are a given. Then the real mind-fuck stuff happens.

I guess the best way to describe it is that there was a lot of stuff in there that doesn't seem like it should be physically possible on skis.

*no idea how to embed anymore

up on ns now! Big up to Phil. he busted his ass this year and was able to put out one of the most unique and creative street skiing in history!

Henrik's 'Road to Zion' will release Wed. Nov. 5th at 3pm EST and also Tanner will be releasing a edit from Kyle Decker on Monday Nov. 3rd at 3pm EST called 'Tanner Hall Retrospect'! pretty awesome week of skiing on the inter web!

His shots over the quarter pipe things against the tree are literally unreal. B-Dog has sooo much swag easily the most creative and stylish urban skier in the gammeeee sorry clayton

The way he flexes a ski and does the MOST BLIND tricks ever is crazy.

Ender blew my mind. All the haters, do you realize how scary it would be to ride switch (blind as hell) down a 2 foot wide platform THAT KINKS, with a gnarly drop to one side and a set of stairs to the other?? PRETTY FRICKIN SCARY.

Phil, you're the man. Ever since B-dog gone wild.

so true, its sick how phil clearly chooses to highlight which tricks he thought were hardest and are most impressive/innovative rather than what looks the most impressive

Hello NS,

First off, we just want to thank you guys for watching 'Keynote Skier'! we have hit around 94,000 views in the first 43 hours since its release here on the ns player. This is pretty big! especially since we do not use youtube or vimeo for our Inspired releases.

We want to keep making free movies for you guys, and the way that we will be able to do it, is to get the view count number of the edits you like as high as possible so we can show the value of free to sponsors and people that will want to hopefully support movie projects in the future.

That being said, if you guys like 'Keynote Skier', we ask if you can just share it on your social network platforms. pushing like buttons does not seem to matter to future sponsors. So, if you guys could share the following link, hopefully we can bring you bigger, better and more projects in the future!

Thank you again for all your support!

peace,eric

Well that was even better the 2nd time!! Saw it when they were in town for the Inspired Movie Tour, then watched again today. BDogs use of unique urban features and making the most of it with his trademark STYLE is always great entertainment. Loved it.

It's the other way around. Oil and Water reused a bunch of shots from Keynote Skier and Road to Zion.

Think about it - Oil and Water is nothing but a promo video for Armada. They weren't going to lay out a bunch of extra money to film when their athletes were already doing it for their own projects. Besides, Henrik and Phil were premiering their films a month before Oil and Water dropped.

Think before you hate next time.

I didnt think of this, but now that makes sense. I was not hating or trying to be bitchy about it but i was trying to say that at least armada could have collaborated a lil more with phil on which shots they were gonna take for oil and water. Like i said i loved the footage he didnt have in oil and water and i loved his oil and water segment. His style was mind blowing and his skiing is the most creative there is. I wasnt hating on phil, but just the fact that the whole first half was already used. But considering both films were free i guess dont have much of an arguement

Shut up OP. That movie was free. It is unlikely that OP will ever make any contribution to the world of skiing. Go put on your Saga hoodie and remain yet unaware of the history of freeskiing, and of how fantastic it is to live in a world where you can click and watch a short ski film with 0 zero effort from your part. It wasn't remotely that way 10 years ago when our ski viewing consisted of a relatively small selection of ski movies for purchase, and that's it. The joys of being 16.

lol im well aware of the history of skiing and am very thankful that films are free nowadays

Peace.

Much thanks for the support and love NS, greatly appreciated. This is a fairly small community and still we managed to pull of 120k views in less then 3 dayz, very grateful for it, skiing is ever growing.

I feel some of you on the exclusivity and wish my movie could of been 100% exclusive but 'Keynote Skier' was basically fully done in early June and I got to see Oil & Water in September, 1 week before the world premier, so, it made it hard to change up some stuff last minute like that... Wasn't aware either when they were going to release it, had been told end of October.

Anyway, massive thanks again for the great feedback you are showing, better stuff coming in the future, look out for B&E and Eric Iberg making a fresh comeback on the movie making scene. Also, look out for 'Road To Zion' dropping next wednesday and an insane recap edit of Tanner Hall from Kyle Decker next monday. Make sure you watch all the goodness and get mad stoked for the upcoming winter!

Inspired!
