Key to Throwing Nose Grabs and Truck Drivers?

im not flexible and i got them.

several important factors:

a good air sense; being aware of where you are in the air naturally (or more so) so you can focus more on the grab at hand, rather than a spin or location in the air.

practice practice practice/repetition. get your body used to trying them. it might take a good few tries to get them. once you start getting them, get some muscle memory by doing them more and more.

and stretching also helps. before skiing, after skiing, and in free time.

When your doing the rotation, instead of using your back for the complete bend (makes it look the steeziest), bend your knees and point your toes up, bringing the skis way closer for the grab.

I have the same problem, i thought they would be easy because im fairly flexible. we just did fitness testing todayfor gym and we did the "sit and reach" test which is where you sit with legs straight and see how far you can reach and i can reach 8 inches past my toes.

but for some reason i cant get them while skiing, its annoying because those are my favorite.

if you try a truck driver you will probably be surprised on how easy they are. that how i found ouot i can do them i just tried it.

on the lift, have your friend pull your ski up and you grab the tip and hold it so you can get used to the feeling of where your ski and the rest of your body needs to be. after that try going off a jump and grabbing low then slide up to your tip or however far you can go.

when doing a nose grab, right hand left ski this is what i do. i come up to the jump and carve off the lip, as im coming off the lip i turn my shoulders and reach for the grab. i use the grab and carve to set my spin rather than setting the spin then grabbing. this way it allows me to get my grab before ive even spun 180. but in doing this you have to be careful because it will make you want to go cork. you can either let yourself cork which is better, or when you grab point your skis more up so you arent leaning as far forward. also if you grab and pull your ski towards you it will help keep you on axis

I can't get anywhere near my toes or ski tips on lift or on the ground, but I can do double true nose while I'm doing rodeos. It's really really hard to grab high on a 3 but really easy on flats/rodeos.
