In the previous 15 elections, if the Washington Redskins have lost their last home game prior to the election, the incumbent party has lost the White House. When they have won, the incumbent has stayed in power.

Day before the election, and Bush is polling at under 50%, which is never good for an incumbent (usually clue #1 that he's going to lose). On the other hand, he's still ahead of Kerry by 2%, 49 to 47. On the other other hand, if there's ever been an election where polls should be absolutely ignored as largely useless, it's this one. Dammit, can we just get this crap over with and move on to the supreme court appointment?
