Kendrick Lamar new single and Album soon

So Kendrick blacked out his Instagram, deleted pictures and posted just one. The number 4 in roman numerals. So it was suspected this meant his 4th studio album, what it actually meant was a song called "The Heart Part 4" that dropped last night. At the end of the song, he tells rappers to get their shit together before April 7th, which is most likely the date of release for his next album. As a big fan of Kendrick, I'm very excited but how about you guys? Link to his new song down below.

waiting to make my season edit so I can maybe use one as a song first lol. Really hyped on this

Good idea man, I'll definitely check your edit out!

Honestly I wasn't that stoked on the Heart 4, obviously Kendricks rhyming is unmatched and the beat switch ups are dope but I feel like he doesn't need to hype himself anymore. People know he's the greatest in the game right now, he should just chill and let his music do the talking imo (i also much prefer his storytelling type tracks over his hype ones so its probably just me)

Been super stoked for Joey's album for a while, now that kendrick, is dropping that day too im super hyped. Also, Logic's album drops beginning of May so these upcoming months should be awesome

Update: Kendrick actually dropped a preorder option for his next album, not the album itself. It will be dropping next week on the 14th of April. Joey Bada$$' and Freddie Gibbs' albums are both great so I think thats gonna tie me over till next week

I actually loved HUMBLE. Every time I listen to it, it gets better. The music video is also sick.

Kendricks new music is that fucking good. Been listening to Future, Kodak Black and Rae Srmmurd quite a bit lately because they're fun to listen to. And then Kendrick dropped this new shit and I was reminded again just how good rap can be.

Also Joey Bada$$ is getting fucking good as well. Land of free dropped and that shit has been on repeat

it was good for sure but joey doesn't have the lyricism to pull off such a deep political album. Kendrick did it right with TPAB but it's too deep for me. I've been bumping amerikkkan nonstop but I like 1999 and b4da$$ more. Joeys only 22 years old so he's got a lot of time to get on Kendricks level cause he's 29. I've heard some snippets of kendricks album and it sounds sick. Heard its gonna be called The Other Community

Thanks so much for the info man, and you're right, Joey is a great lyricist but TPAB was on another level, its really cool to see how joey isn't afraid to get super political though, and he pulled it off very well. Cheers man

Listen to these 5 songs:

If you don't like Kendrick in any of those then maybe real rap just isn't for you.

Yeah what did you think about it? I really thought it was good

I've been listening to the singles on repeat, so i know those songs well, just pushing through the first half right now. So far definitely some different songs, but you cant deny joey as a true lyrical rapper.

Joey seems angry as well, which isnt always good, but its causing him to create some ill songs, rockabye baby especially. I feel like he's taking current issues in the USA and really expressing his opinion, i love it. So sick of rappers just talking about money and hookers.

Absoulutely! I'm really happy to see a lot of artists starting to shift into a more "conscious" theme. Even Schoolboy gets political on that track and he's dropping another project later this year so hopefully he tries to make a statement on that. Artists like Joey, The Underachievers, Ab-Soul, Kendrick even Logic and YG and others are really turning the genre on it's head, explaining to us their stories and experiences first hand and giving us insight on why they think the way they do, and whether you agree with their opinions or not, I have a ton of respect for them.
