Kelly Sildaru abuse / family feud

I don’t want to say it’s right or okay, but there’s a reason elite athletes are the way they are... most have had asshole coaches since they could put on skis... it happens in every sport and all over Hollywood.

it just sucks that her asshole coach was also her dad. It’s becoming all too common in today’s world where a parent has a kid with talent and the parent exploits that for their own gain...
 
Honestly, not that surprising. I know too many similar stories of talented athletes going through this shit and it needs to stop. I'm sad for Kelly, and hope she can overcome this to become the kind of skier and person she wants to be.
 
That sucks. Hope the best for both Kelly and her brother, now that she's 19 I hope she'll be able to handle the situation in the best way possible.

I remember an old interview with Kelly where she thanked her father for the sacrifices he was making for them, never imagined that ther could be any such of backstory.
 
Sounds like Henry is still with his dad, and the grandmother (his mom) is accusing Kelly? So effed. It's sad to see a broken family.

I just want to see her ski again!!
