Fuck you, "backwards" is the new word. Just ask Michelle Parker (and refer to her ORAGE update about water ramps).
 
there seems to be some confusion with the term "RIDIN DIRTY" so heres the definition..

RIDING DIRTY: when one is skiing backwards at a fast pace weaving between slower skiers on the mtn.

DIRTY: the term added to any trick done when a skier takes off or lands facing up the hill. (ie. dirty cork 7.. dirty 270 on, gettin dirty dirty(switchup)...

i like the dirty one but it has to be used commonly for it to work, there should be a vote on the front page about this

 
I had this conversation with an english professor and based on the study of Etymology (the study of words) "switch" is the correct term. All words have a "root" which is where it came from, and since skateboarding is what started all this shenanigans that is the root. According to him, "switch" is appropriate for any riding style that is the opposite of the normal way to ride, regardless of your feet being connected.

Dirty used to be the slang for unnatural tricks. Wont work. And if anyone thinks establishing a definition in an online forum can change an entire industry I feel bad for you.
