Keep breaking poles

i went skiing today and it was a solid day, i decided i would do a backflip on this really lippy kicker, turns out i didn't have enough speed and i landed on my pole and bent it into an angle. This is the fourth time this has happened season (not not including the past two seasons.) i want to know if i am the only one that breaks my poles every other month.
 
just dont fall its the only option, ive used the same pair for 3 years but yet again i am the best skier on the mountain
 
get some carbon ones. i roll onto em all the fuckin time, only broke one pair my whole life, and they were 8 years old. and if you get lost in the BC you can sling one of em up and shoot the other one at fauna
 
Go to ski swaps and buy lots of shitty second hand pole for like a dollar. I bought 5 pairs for 6 bucks this year that I just give to people when they break.
 
I used to have this problem but I got composite poles and have been using the same pair forever they are strong and never bend
 
always buy cheap poles whenever you see them no matter what. cut them all down to size and you'll never be missing poles again.
 
Or you could spend 40$ more and get ones that won't break...Worth it if you ask me. theyll be lighter, nicer and wont breal so you don't have to carry a suitcase full of em up to the hill, like a few people on here seem to do.
 
I've been using the same pair of $20 rossignol poles since 2011. Seriously, why the hell won't these things break so I can get new ones? They are so bent and crooked, I'm so amazed that they're still alive.
 
i spent booko bucks on those LINE poles, I never use the straps and i still managed to bend one when taco'ing on a rail.

HOW TO FIX BENT POLE, inb4 over your knee, i want symmetry
 
Cheaper is better. As long as the poles are within 1 or 2 inches long of each other its all good. Wanting nice poles seems like the most gaper thing ever even though its not a lot of money all things considered to spend 40 bucks.

 
Aluminum doesn't exactly bend back. It usually breaks.

If you ski hard and try to push your limits, you will fall a lot and you will be breaking lots of poles. Stock up on summer sales or at swaps. It's just going to happen.
 
I have the scott riots, the are the most durable pole I have used. Expensive but will last a few seasons I bet
 
secure your pole on a work bench so it won't move around too much while you work on it. get a towel and wrap it around the bent area of the pole. Slide the towel back and forth over the bent area really fast for a good 10 minutes to create enough friction across the surface that the poles warm up and become more malleable. once the poles are good and warm, very slowly start bending it back into shape. work slowly to avoid snapping the pole.
 
I have some junior scott race poles that are neon green and they have lasted 2 seasons($30) when I bought some other leki poles ($70) before the green ones and they snapped 10 days in. not even bad falls.

kept lekis as momento cuz I stabbed Henrik and Brady Perron by accident with them

Anyway i would say go with the cheaper ones.. just not too cheap
 
i had the same problem, and sorta still do, i herd that carbon ones just flex but i snapped mine super fast which sucked b/c of how expensive they usually are what i do now is wait untill junk day in my neighbourhood then i grab all the old poles, cut them down, and tape them up
