I'm not.... i think its bullshit,

She didn't ski until she was 17........

Too bad Canadian males aren't dominent like Americans in slopestyle.

 
Women's slope is in the Olympics no matter what so why would you not want a Canadian to cheer on, especially the girl that has been on top of the sport for five years even if she is coming off an injury. You'd rather no Canadian's compete?

Or is this about the gender gap? That's actually not relevant right here. She blew that interview out of the water. I found the black mask bit really interesting.
 
What you look for in a spokesperson isn't always the same as being the top athlete. Kaya is perfect for this role - pretty, thoughtful, well spoken, plus she has medal potential and a drive to get others excited about and involved in the sport.

There are other skiers I prefer watching. But for an interview on a tv show my mom is viewing? Few of them make the cut.
 
she was actually pretty well spoken, but that dude has terrible interview skills. He clearly didnt do any research to understand the sport or culture before coming up with those questions, and why does he change from one weird pose to another in his chair every 30 seconds

I've never watched this show on cbc before, but glad to see i was never missing much

Also I know sometimes you have to ask the hard questions, but why do they always pick the most dramatic stuff to ask. Why wouldn't he ask her how sarah pushed to get the sport in the olympics rather than dwell on how she found out about her passing away? seems weird IMO
 
yea this definitely wasn't one of his good interviews, but in general he's known as a pretty amazing interviewer and has won a lot of awards for his skills.

that was a good interview on her part though, good for her
