I'm sure everyone knows who kate Moss is. For those who dont, she is a British supermodel and is currently dating the self-proclaimed crack and heroin junkie who is Pete Doherty, formerly of my favorite band the Libertines. Anyways, its been widely reported for some time now that the couple have been dating and that immediately raises the question: "Does Kate Moss do drugs with Pete?" I think its quite a simple task of logic to come to the conclusion that "yes" she probably snorts a line every so often. But thats all beyond the point which is that Kate Moss' career is falling apart all because of a single allegation of coke use. All the while Pete Doherty is gaining notoriety and huge fame for his raging drug abuse. I think that any chick with any sense of dignity for the female sex should be outraged by this shit. Im a dude and this really pisses me off. It's frightening how much the media portrays its bias towards women.

i dont believe kate moss's career is falling apart due to cocaine allegations. i mean seriously, coke is the drug of supermodels, its assumed that half of em are hooked, and the other half soon will be.

recently a politician in quebec has admitted to cocaine use, he was all apologetic and stuff. now i've never done coke but i have tried my share of drugs (i had a crazy experience with salvia dorum last night actually) and if i ever get in the limelight and am questioned about drugs, i'll just be all 'what? is it a big deal? stop living in the dark ages yo.' for real, drugs aren't a big deal, even coke. fuck it, if you can control yourself, its just another recreational substance like alcohol, cigarettes, and cafeine. and frankly who cares? big deal, they've done drugs. if anything, they have a wider purview of how things operate in this world. vs the narrow minded fucks who pretentiously and ignorantly condemn a substance which they have no tangible knowledge about. the societal context also matters. talking about weed in canada is much different then in iran. though the psychological effects are similar, the reasons for smoking are different as will the reactions.

Anyways, if Hennes & Mauritz have a no-drug policy, and first they said it's ok, because they had already invested a vast sum of money into the ad campaign with Kate, but after all the public commotion they decided not to do it. you pussies are missing the fucken point. doesnt it appear strange to any of you that we have come to accept the fact that rockers are encouraged to be all fucked up on drugs all the time by popular opinion and especially by corporations. But a single supermodel snorting a line gets sssuuucchhh a bad rap and calls for such an intense smear by the media...................... But hey, if your all to ignorant to notice this fact thats cool, questions such as these aren't asked enough in our society; im just putting them up in the air for people to answer.

Dude the problem with Andre Boisclair is this: as a prime-minister of the province and even maybe even eventually of a country (that would suck balls), he would represent justice... yet would be a criminal. Or if he isn't a criminal, he would be protecting criminals. I mean what kind of credibility do you have to lead, for example, campaigns against drugs when you obviously know the name of at least one (probably many) coke dealers and you don't do shit about it. Besides, people only like him because he is "attractive", he is an incompetent bitch. And not to play the homophobe, but does a gay man really think like the heterosexual one? Does he accurately represent the population?

Ok, that was my rant, yet I think 98% of people will have no idea what I'm talking about.

So... on the subject, I couldn't give a fuck about the media. The best way to really get information is suscribe to two newspapers with opposing views and read articles relating the same subject. Supermodels... I obviously couldn't care less if she snorts coke or not.

Haha, I just saw this preview for inside edition and I remembered this thread.

Inside Edition is doing this big thing dedicated to her and her doing drugs. They have these survalience shots of her doing all sorts of drugs and some cop man said this was the evidence they would need to begin an open investigation on her.

Weird.

I love how nobody caught the original point of the thread.

Its not about a supermodel doing drugs. Its the fact that because she is doing drugs, the media is portraying her as some terrible person.

Meanwhile, her rock star boyfriend, who openly admits a full-blown addiction to heroin, and whose band broke up because of it, continues to gain popularity.

But that's not really a valid point either, because they both arent rock stars. They have two very different professions and lives. It is acceptable for him to do drugs because he is a man AND a former rockstar. It is not acceptable for Kate Moss to do drugs no ONLY because she is a women, BUT because she is a supermodel, not a rockstar. Get my point? Maybe if Kate Moss was a rockstar (ala Courtney Love, except with more selfrespect) it would be more acceptable for her to do drugs.

 
i don't understand why it is acceptable for someone to be a junkie if they make pretty sounds and if someone with talent in a different area it is considered worse.
