Karma

Yeah, the way they implemented it was really flawed. Since it's inside the profile no one really bothers to go in and click up an X amount of times. The way it should have been done, is put a little + or - icon somewhere beneath the avatar or post count of the user, and you give them 1 point only. The more points people give them the more Karma they build up. There would have to be a system on how your points have effect, such as you couldn't plus Karma the same person within a month or something, perhaps if you have not been given Karma lately you cannot pass it on and influence others'... just thoughts.
 
Please hold on guys...a lot of shit needs to be fixed with the new update before the karma system can be touched. Priorities...

one person doesnt seem to change it.... at all. and i agree that alot of people have alot higher then what they should have
 
The system isn't fully implemented yet... it was put up for testing, and we were supposed to change a whole bunch of stuff with it. Just happened that a bunch of other things came up and we didn't get around to it.

It is coming though, don't you worry... good things are in store for the Karma System!

 
Paul just doubled the weight of the member to member ratings. Its going to take about 30 minutes for the stats to re-compile, but Karma should change when that happens. Through tonight see if it works better that way, and we can always add more weight to the member-to-member ratings again.

 
Sorry guys,

The rating tool is still undergoing a number of tweaks. We're adding new ways to affect Karma, and weighting certain criteria differently.

I've just added some updates to the system.. Notice any difference?
 
itd be nice if you could just type in the amount of karma you wanna give soemone instead of having to press it soooo many times
