i did a search with keyword "karma" and none of the threads really matched or answered this question... that i could find anyway.
I get on and people rate me down... My feedback/transactions ARE FLAWLESS...check em'... I don't do much, if any, hating at all on anyone on the site... I'm a pretty legit skier...
I'm just wondering why people rate other people down/minus their karma points????
It puzzles the shit out of me... so many little fucking haters out there I just felt the need to vent... and I thought maybe some of you guys could tell me... why do people dump on legit kids karma...

 
I change karma, but I give more than take. but there are many factor than influence your karma. ill go back up with you keep posting.

I have NEVER made a thread whining about my karma... the thread I just made to ask about karma rape CAME AFTER the fact karma rape had occurred so clearly they don't do it for that. Thanks for wasting your time and mine by attempting to be a smart ass but your logic is clearly unreasonable. go fuck yourself.

I asked one single question. Despite not getting a legit answer it pretty much answered itself since everyone since the first post minus two people has turned completely hateful...

Again. your ignorance is staggering as I never claimed anybody cared... I created a thread on a website to ask a question. A question you have given no relevant answer too and just randomly come in on to hate... which in a round about way answers the question.
 
karma on ns will never work well, simply because people abuse it. You get karma for for voting for someone in some stupid competition, and lose it by disagreeing with anyone else. And hilariously enough, posting anything about karma usually causes people to bring it down.

but as stated, it's not a big concern of mine.

it isn't. who will you trust more. someone with 1262 karma or 65,234? i agree it has many flaws but if you have high karma it generally means you are liked.
 
Look at my karma, then look at the OP's. Then compare our feedbacks. Mine is flawless. Karma is totally irrelevant. I gave up giving a shit about karma awhile ago.
 
And trying to act hard on the internet like some professional fighter is so much more mature than what skiierman does.... right.
 
ah touche. but still without feedback just looking on a random page i would believe the person with more karma/posts. for example in gear talk if someone with 23 posts ans 121 karma said line skis is releasing more skis i wouldnt believe him. if a guy with 2345 posts and 43101 karma said it i would have more faith.

i never acted "hard" or like a professional fighter as a matter of fact Im a rich, white, undersized man and i have never fought competitively... i do however have some pride and it bugs me when someone calls you out in a physical manner (ie calling me a pussy when you don't even know me)
i agree with most of you guys though... karma doesn't matter and it never did i was just curious as to why people rated it down so much... it was a general question projected at everyone... for example you could answer
"i never rate people down... idk what you're talking about"or"i get bored a lot and troll around and rate people down because it makes me smile"or"if they disagree with me on a thread i rate them down"
... but i literally didn't get a single response to the initial question, just opinions of other questions.

No, it still means nothing. If you are on here enough, you know who is good and who isn't, and for many people their opinions differ. I know plenty of "good" ns members with extremely high karma, but I don't like them. Karma's just a number.
 
I have 7500ish K, and I try and be as helpful and entertaining as possible, keep hate to a minimum, and upload vids, etc

There are some people with 10 posts, all of which are troll posts, and have 100,000 K.

What is a lot more useful is the 'how other people rate me' tool.
 
yeah there was some guy a month or so ago with 1 post and around 125000 karma.. i really dont understand how that works
 
The last time I bothered with karma was to point out how dumb it was.

You can have mine if you want. I prefer to make my own judgements about people based on what I see. I don't have much faith in trusting a numeric system I don't really understand.
 
I love summer NS. I think I made a thread like this like the day afterimage joined only mine was more of a really noobish question and I didn't get any hate. So much more hate in the summer. Haha

And op- chill out. People would like you more if you don't hit the fucking kill switch every time you post

ns has me on auto karma rape, it just slowly goes down regardless of my rating or what i do on this site

i was at 70k a few months ago and my rating has only changed a tiny bit
