Karma Glitch?

Hey guys

I am not asking for karma!

Repeat not asking for it!

But when I hit my 2000th post my karma dropped like 8000 points in 3 minutes hahaha

Can mods do that to you?

Sorry if this thread wasted your time and has no relevance to you.

Anyone have this happen before?

Well see what happened here is all the Karma Banks lumped all these Karma loans into Karma Backed Securities. And these "Banks" lent these Karma Back Securities to other inverters but they defaulted on those loans causing the Karma Back securities to default, which caused you to drop 8000 Karma Points. We might enter a double dip Karma Recession if we dont act quick!!!!
 
sparknotes: I was robbed of 3,000 karma. That was going into my kid's college fund, too.
 
Karma gathered, by one or more three things:

Being a Special Person (Pro/Mod/Resort Rep)

Posting ski related comments or threads

Liking peoples Facebook posts.

About Karma

Member Karma is a way of ranking each member based on their

contributions to Newschoolers. Members accumulate Karma points for

posting, rating and uploading content.

Many types of contributions are considered, and some are weighted more

heavily than others.

Karma Tips

  • Don't piss members off. Being rude will just earn you a low Karma Xchange rating which will drag down your overall score.
  • Post content. You get points for content you post, and feedback

    you gather like comments and ratings. But, negative feedback or having

    your content removed results in karma point loss.

 
I noticed this as well. I kind of like my karma mainly because it helps with trying to sell shit in b/s/t. something I look for when dealing with people anyway.

 
i lost about 6k, i think it's due to the new update of the picture section...

it's up now, but the admins are still working on it, so don't start crying too soon, in site discussion you can give feedback about the picture, video and nstv section + theres also a thread about the karma drop, if you have any suggestions/remarks, let us know, but please keep it clean!

Remember, it's still a work in progress so if i see you talking too much shit about the work of the admins i'll spank your asses!
 
i went from 150k to 180k without doing a damn thing.

that alone should show how useless the karma system is... because i contribute little/nothing to NS. :-)
 
I pooped because I dropped 300+ and I didnt do anything, I felt a little offended till I read this thread got karma raped lol
