nevermind that old thread is retarded. i had no idea what i was talking about back then. wow i was a retard.

yeah some of these are definently developed independently and dont have a line counterpart. karhu and line are like K2 factory freestyle and the K2 moguls team. jak= mo ship (i think haha). just like piste pipe= PE. phrosty skis them so he knows about how they preform. but yeah they CAN be used for downhill and with regular bindings. they have notches for skins though (or they used to). there are differences between karhu and line. even if the dimentions are the same, sometimes line or karhu's versions of a developed ski will have a difference flex pattern as its counterpart. since karhu and line use the same presses, i hope karhu comes out with a prophet 130 so i can buy it for less that the line version. i dont know much about tele though, so that may or may not be possible. i should check their site.

yea, those are XC skis i think buddy^^. but yea, the standard jak is the mothership. diffrent flex pattern because its a tele. should be stiffer, but i dont know how the motherships flex is. but usually, tele skis are stiffer. and karhu used to make a ski called the ruckit. it used the same mold as the line maverick, but since line discontinued the maverick, away went the ruckit.

theyre sick if you arent a tele skiier. and cheap! last time i checked and saw some on ebay they were priced amazingly

i know a guy who skis jaks on a tele set up. they looked pretty sick. They are just softer than the mothership.

I saw a guy at winter park with piste pipes on a dowhill set up. he said they worked amazingly.

i cant take him[liam downey] seriously cuz his name reminds me of that downy bear from back when i was a kid -d loc

I don't deny there are bad things in the US right now, hell, 51% of the country to be exact. But god damnit, our country being fat is NOT a problem. I do't give a shit how fat people are. hell, fat kids are harder to kidnap, that means our country is safer.

Karhu for 9 years outsourced their molds to Line so they could make skis in Canada. AKA Karhu made Line Skis for them. This year Line skis are NOT being made by Karhu, they are being made in China. Karhu makes great X-Country skis and Tele/AT Skis.

That would be the thought for the next few years. However, I talked to Line this spring and they are not going to make the abundance of skis that they have the past few years. This means that prices might go down as far as MAP is concerned, but they are going to stay more consistant as far as dealer prices stands because dealers are not going to be able to reorder like they have in the past. Plus there will not bae as many skis to sell to stores on closeout.
