This is why I wish more celebrities these days were actually badasses. If I was in that chicks shoes I would have just grabbed the mic and yelled "Yeah, well at least I'm not a gay fish." Such a wasted oppurtunity for massive lulz.

Well, his douchey move left Taylor speechless and fans upset with him.

But just hours after the incident, Kanye has taken to his official blog to clear things up and issue an apology. We're glad he listened to his PR people.

Well when the artist himself is quoted in saying this is a completely experimental album I don't know how you can call it anything else...

And no hate. I just don't like it when people jump on the I hate Kanye bandwagon. It's so stupid and played out. If you want to miss out on great music that's fine. Even better if you don't like the genre. But I don't say Rock these days is garbage or anything, I just say it's not my style. Which is what people should say if they don't have an ear for a specific genre of music.
 
Technically speaking there can be, from production elements, to the mastering. Alot of the songs I heard from 808s had terrible post production.

Didn't read the whole thread since this has been discussed ad nauseum already, but how does a singer lose in the category of best female music video only to win best overall music video?

This thing had to have been staged and I'm sure Kanye was paid handsomely for taking the dive that jolts Taylor Swift sales through the fucking roof.
 
look at the oscars... a movie like No Country for Old Men will win Best Picture and thats it. (i know it won something else but i cant think of it) while another movie will win every editing, sound, and visual thing but not the Best Picture.
 
Kanye just doesn't give a shit about what anyone else thinks. obviously that mindset causes extreme things like this to happen, but you have to respect it either way. so many people live their lives not doing what they want because they're afraid of what others will say or think. i've seen interviews of him that weren't for tv and he seemed like a pretty down to earth guy. and sure he has a big ego, but whats wrong with that? some guy thinking very highly of himself doesnt affect me at all.

It was like he was trying to bully taylor swift, he did somthing mean because he was trying to get a reaction from people. Once he found out that no one thought it was funny he went on the news and apologized about it, and he looked like a dumbass.

Anyone who doesn't think that was staged is retarded. MTV is notorious for doing things like this during an award show to make it a big deal and therefore talked about on tons of radio stations, tvs, between people, etc. and MTV gets their name out.

The camera angles were too perfect. Like kanye isnt shown going up on stage and then it goes straight to beyonce. I'm not saying that Taylor Swift knew about it, maybe she did maybe not but MTV definitly knew what was up and probably Beyonce too. I bet MTV asked Kanye to do it.

Also everyone needs to stop talking shit about kanye. I agree, hes a mediocore rapper. On the other hand, he is an AMAZING producer. College Dropout is one of the best produced albums in modern day hip hop. He produces so much good shit and half of you don't know what your talking about.

I just quickly wikipedia'd him and found his production discography. Look at it and tell me Kanye isn't an amazing producer.

Sure he's cocky but he does it to sell albums. So many more people will hear about Kanye becasue of this and whatever else he does which in turn leads to more record sales. I couldn't give a shit what publicity stunt he does on MTV, his music is dope.

Why the fuck would you give a musician an award for a music video they are in. First of all, who the fuck cares about a music video, its the song that matters. Second of all, they should give the award to the director, not the musician who starred in it. And Beyonce > Taylor Swift. How did she win overall and not female? That makes no sense.
