Kai jones hate thread

Let me get this straight: Kai is a ripper and an objectively good skier. But his dad literally is TGR, he’s got basically an endless wallet full of daddy’s money, and was born in Jackson with “project mbappe” ahh parents . His career was literally planned out before he was born, he got entire video parts on the TGR yt when he was like 11 years old, and unlimited training facilities from when he was crawling. Skiers like candide, Henrik, and bdog all got their stardom by being sick skiers. Kai got his handed to him at birth, basically. He obviously worked hard to get where he is but still doesn’t deserve the credit that other pros get. Rant over
 
Not his fault he was born into rich TGR parents. Maybe if we head born into a different family he would be more core for you.
 
Not hating on Henrik but you know he's got crazy family money right? Like he has been able to dedicate his life to skiing because of how he grew up. His family moved to Are so him and his brother could ski more. Jacob Wester taught him how to backflip at a ski camp when he was 10. He was sponsored, training and competing very young. I mean, check out one of the earliest sponsors of the B&E show:

anyways yea Kai is one of the most egregious examples of people getting a head start in the ski world (apart from maybe the DuPont's lol), but the more you look into it the more pro's you'll find who have been helped out with some level of family money or connections.
 
there are some really good freeride TGR kids at mad river and they are super nice. so I can't hate I'm sure kai is chill.
 
I can guarantee he’s worked harder on his physical and mental, on and off the snow than you.

Also don’t compare his to the greatest skiers ever. He’s not that rn, maybe never will be but you hating is #wack
 
just looked at their website. dont think ive ever seen "harlaut" in non skiing context that many times before but its weird to look at

bruh, so what about all the other people who made it without training facilities and todd jones as their dad? quit bitching. If youre good at skiing you deserve the credit you get.
 
Doesn't matter what resources you have. If you don't have talent and work ethic it doesn't matter. Who cares. Kid fucking sends it deep.
 
kai jones inspired me to get more into skiing bc of that one video of him sending it at 11 yrs old. im his age so that inspired me a lot. also, like what do you want him to do? decide to be poor? get different parents?
 
we praise parents when they say "i am working hard so my kids can have a better life than i had"

then, when they actually give their kids a good life, people shit on the kids for being spoiled
 
Most pro skiers got rich parents. Otherwhise they couldnt spend a fortune on Lift tickets, trips to destinations for summer skiing and a lot of skis. Dont lile saying that but skiing is a sport fot the upper class. Even park skiing where Ahall is sponsored by Moncler.

you're only core if you grew up with abusive parents who hated skiing. Too many of these posers had parents that taught them to ski and supported their children's interests. I like this take.

I used to hate on him when I was younger but he can’t control what he was born to. My uncle knows the Jones’s and says Kai is actually really determined and stoked on skiing. If he’s a nice dude and that’s the case you really can’t hate that he has been given opportunity to capitalize on that. He has become a disgusting freeskier which you can’t just do if you don’t care.

i think you're wrong. we should all punish rich people who worked hard to make their fortune and made productive contributions to our society. And we should punish their kids too. We should attack people for being intelligent. And most importantly, we should crucify their kids for the opportunities they not only receive, but also capitalized on. How dare kids take advantage of the hard work of their parents to make a name for themselves. shame on them.

actually met him with my old freeride team at a snowbird national a few years ago. Kid was super cocky and kind of a dick

Imagine believing any pro skier comes from a poor family. This isn't skating, you ignorant wealthy white boy.
 
you either grew up well off enough to ski, or have parents that work in the ski industry. Often both. Pretty simple. Find me one single “from the mud” posterboy . It’s skiing.

you would not want to be Kai Jones, or any skiier at that level, and you especially would not want to have Todd Jones as a dad. Seriously. If you got a free trial of being the kid you’d delete this stupid ass take .

Not his fault he is getting credit. I basically live in one of the worst places for skiing and my first two actual ski seasons where i wasnt a baby have been the two worst seasons in my countrys skiing history. It sucks yeah, i am always trying not to eat myself from jealousy to everyone living in a place with more than 1 jump in the line, but vibes here exist even with all the corruption and no investing in ski resorts. Some ppl just get lucky, but thats not a reason for us to hate them, especially when they arent doing anything wrong and not bothering anyone.
