every one thinkin of getting new skis this year should check out k2's sick new skis. On top of last years new public enemys and seth pistols, k2 is introducing 3 new skis this year. They will be the juvenile. which is a junior park ski with a foam core which makes it more flexible for the younger generation. the fugitive, which is in between the Public Enemy and the Seth pistol. It has a triaxal braided core which makes it extremely easy to ride switch. Pep, Turpin and some other members of the k2 ski team or riding the prototypes of the fugitives right now at High North. And lastly will be the maden, which is a ginormous ski, bigger than the seth pistol. made for major big mountain skiing.

the fugitive is actually peps pro model ski

the maiden AKs are fucking fat, they are so wide way wider than the seth pistols

the new public enemy graphic is sick ryan schmies showed me then and they are awesome

is it going to be a mid season release, or this fall? sounds sick. Across from the pistol and PE? i heard they are were more of a park ski?

ya k2 is really seems to be pulling it together with their skis. those skis should be sick. and if they are pep's pro model they should be called the fujatives! hahahaha

The red white and blue top sheet is what k2 uses for all there factory test skis..

^ how would it feel more stable if it was diff. stiffness in it? at least give an explanation. i think it would feel goofy cause some would be really stiff and other parts would be kinda limp.

most skis already do have different stiffness through otu, like lots have softer tails or whatever, and unless your a racer or something i doubt it would make that big of a difference while you were skiing, it might even help, you'd just notice it doing tail presses or ollies and stuff

wow thats probably the most untrue thing i have ever heard, if you were on a ski that had the same amount of material throughout the whole ski, you would know. look at your skis, they taper down towards the tip and tail from the center.

 
Ya know these small companies that just started like ARMADA and 4FRONT and a few others probably won't last long in my opinion. Ya they have some top pros on the team but after just hearing K2 is coming out with 3 more skis, K2 is really gonna make things competitive in the industry. They are a lot more experienced with designing skis and more trustworthy.

 
vtrider what i meant was it will just feel like a different ski, all skis feel different but after you get used to them theyrea ski and you probably wont notice the flex that much. what i meant by saying that you'd probably have to eb a racer to notice the difference was that if it wasnt a solid ski k2 wouldnt release it, so the difference in flex isnt gonna make a big difference to an average park skier, but it would to a racer who was focusing on technique and stuff while skiing instead of just sliding from jump to jump like i see lots of people do. your other point was what i was trying to say, that skis already have different flexes, flex your ski it probably, or atleast mine

the different stiffness through out the ski makes it incredibley smooth to ride switch. Shane Szocs said that there is no ski like it while riding switch. The compostion of the ski makes it carve effortlessly. and i can guarentee you that there wont be an awkward feeling while riding regular.

Armadaand 4frnt will be fine, they r companies that recieve lots of support and from what i know armada has pre sold enough skis for next year, but anyways the patriot sounds good if i can get it before begining of december maybe i will

whoever said only racers work on technique, how do you ski buddy? i dont know about anyone else here, but if your tryin to spin off a jump or in the pipe, settin up with your skis on edge and weighted at the right spot sounds like technique to me

Justo8484, dont really know why i am defending myself over the internet to people who i will never meet, but the majority of park skiers that i see arent very good skiers, compared to people who race i'm not gonna mention names cause i dont feel like being flamed but ive seen videos of some pros skiing that made me sick, sure they can ski from jump to jump, but on the bunny hill they would be showed up!and for skiing park what ski you use isnt gonna be that big of a deal (im talking about out of recent twintips) a ski wont make you a better skier, it will just be more fun to ride
