K2 skis breaking easlily

Has anyone else had their k2s break after only a season? I just bought mine at the start of the season and already the tip is delaminated completely. This is my second pair of fujitives, i thought the first one was a defect, but after the second one i'm thinking not...What are some different ski companies that build quality stuff?

Ive had a couple friends haveing thier fujatives break but i have a pair of pes and so do some of my friends and none of us have had problems

let me expand on my k2 experiences -

1. a pair of first gen publics, took 2 seasons of beating 60+ days per season to break. The only reason they broke was because an edge cracked, and water got into the core, which eventually rotted it. They would have lasted longer.

2. another pair, same ski and year, only they belong to a friend. 3 or 4 edge cracks, but no delam and they still ski great

3. a pair of publics bought used by a friend of mine, broke after 2 seasons, plus whatever skiing the other guy did on them

4. a pair of first gen Pistols, which replaced the first enemies mentioned here, I have skied on everyday this season. before that they were owned by a level 3 cert instructor who skied them hard.

5. fujative a friend ownes. after 1 season they have 2 edge cracks, no delam

basically, I have only had good experiences with K2. I think it was just hte luck of the draw with you, because I can't say they are weak. All that I have skied on or dealt with have held together really well. warrenty them.

K2 skis' top sheets flake on the sides pretty bad...Is that what you mean? Ive got Seth Vicious and there is no problem with them except the sides of the topsheets are missing all uip and down the ski.

ya i had fujative's and like a inch of the edge came out under foot and the base peeled up...and they del-amed everywhere to...but now i ditn ride them so whatever!

^ you got a crappy pair I think.

They sidewalls don't get chunks out of them if you don't let them hit together. It's not always avoidable, but I have never had a problem with it.

I had the originally pe's until this year, and they held up great except the topsheet. I also have a pair of pistols, and they have no problems.

i have pes for 2 years now going on 3 and they are tanks it went under a box and was bent at like a 150 deegree angle and didnt snap so i will be on a third year with them looks like your the only one

my buddy had this years fujitives and he had like at least 10 massive chips in the top sheet a bunch of cracks in the edges and like 1 foot of edge came out from under his boot. all that in only half a season too

i have had fujis for almost 3 years, and aside for 2 chips in the topsheet, they are in amazing shape. i have skied them really hard for one season, then for all of last fall/ summer on a dryslope setup, then this winter on urban and other rails

Guys, if a ski falls apart, please warrenty them through an authorized K2 dealer. If you slam your skis into one another and it is from your own edges, you will have a hard time with warrenty.

i had publics that lasted two hard seasons, like 2 edge cracks and messed up bases, got last years ones and they were fine too

yea i cant say that i had a lot of trouble with the k2 skis this year at the ski shop i work at, we had one pair warrinted(sp?) but they were a pair of year old missis, so in that respect i think there really a solid ski

The Tails of both my New PEs absolutley exploded after landing a bit to far down an icy 40 footer. I mean, edges sticking out, part of my bases gone.. Total delam.

My last year pubs are awesome i have skied them hard for over 50 days each season and handrails and they are still holding together great.

i have fuji's and mine are fine except a couple of rail cracks. mine are fine and i bought them in january
